Weaning Exodus on Nifty Gateway (Feb 9th) We’ve all either seen or have taken part in an NFT project that has completely rugged its community. I’ve taken these experiences to create a series in monochrome and dropping it on Nifty Gateway February 9, 2023(6:30PM EST). Something very different from my usual vividly colorful art that’s mostly based on self meditation or personal opinions on the NFT and CryptoArt space. I’ve also included a drawing for the banner piece titled Entry, you can see it in full at the bottom of this post. With that said… I’d like to present to you Weaning Exodus.An abstract interpretation of stages in a rugged projects journey towards one of the many seventh heavens.

Morgan le Fay was an ambiguous character from the legend of King Arthur - wrongly perceived by the world as a jealous, power-hungry and cunning woman. In reality she was powerful, kind and intelligent.

She was a healer & visionary with magical skills. An honest, benevolent, independent spirit, she became increasingly disconnected from other people. As a result she was persecuted and vilified.

This duality of spirit is illustrated in this artwork, which is featured in The Grail NFT project. We see Morgan facing us with her wand poised over the earth and the pentagon symbol behind her, symbolising the witch-like qualities she was rumoured to possess and her role as an enchantress and manipulator of men.

Behind her, reflected in the mirror we see what I consider to be her truer self. She's looking out, beyond her public image. Contemplatively sitting, reading a book, surrounded by healing paraphernalia with white magic symbols framing the mirror.

Modelled in VR and painted on iPad, tweaked, lit and rendered in Cinema 4D. Post production in After Effects and Magic Bullet.

I have explained this a lot on twitter, but I will write a complete post here because Twitter is horrible at congruous communication. 1. Twitter heavily favors text based tweets ONLY. It is a foundational part of it's algo. As a visual artist to get traction and visibility is an uphill battle where we have to game the system. Tumblr on the other hand doesn't weight anything based off what type of media is being shared. It is about discoverability based of hashtags. 2. No engagement farming - it is really hard to run a shill post or generally engagement farm on Tumblr. This means no phony accounts taking attention away from each other. 3. Artists need a place to connect. This isn't about getting more notice or recognition or chasing clout or wooing collectors. This is about build a network for artists to be able to interact and support each other freely. Discord and group chats are horrible for networking and cliquey. 4. Can share multiple animated gifs and videos in one post. This is a duh way better.

4.5 Can customize the appearance of your blog with templates or html editing. 5. Crypto Twitter cares about coins, money and stats. Twitter is important for connecting to the money, but we are establishing ourselves here on Tumblr to connecting to each other for support. 6. We are also here to showcase all our amazing works and stories to the existing Tumblr community who aren't into crypto art and show how we all aren't scams and apes. There is not a strong presence of us here, but this is not to dismiss those who have been here, so we are here to establish this. Hopefully, this helps sway some narrative and misinformation that floats around. 7. Tumblr always has been cooler than Twitter.
