After a decade away, (and to be honest, losing the login info for the old blog) I'm back to give you scathing reviews of a beloved style icon. What Would Buffy Wear: A combo sparkly halter top & crochet sweater that in the weirdest way actually works....it's verging on WWST though...

What Would Buffy Wear: A soft pink cardigan and white tank top. So sweet! OH, and HIGH PONY.

What Would Buffy Wear: On a First Date? A pretty gold minidress (probably with leather boots...BOOTS ASSUMED). Much better attire for the Bronze, Buffy!

What Would Buffy Wear: to the Zoo? Looks like our Slayer was trying to become one with her surroundings in this cord/suede/velour I’m-not-sure-what-kind of fabric it is but it’s orange and it's a jacket. Paired with a green animal print minidress (a little on the nose, but we appreciate a theme), leather boots and scarf, she kind of looks like the 70’s kicked her out for being too tacky. But with a high pony, oddly enough she pulls it all off. RAWR.

What Would Buffy Wear: To Gym Class? Sure as hell not what everyone else is wearing! She’s rocking an questionably small yellow spaghetti strap and tight red sweatpants. Hey, if she's going to stick out like a sore thumb, at least she's wearing the school colours.

But she’s the slayer. She do what she want.

What Would Buffy Wear?: A pretty purple suede (or cord, can’t tell from here) jacket!

What Would Buffy Wear:

An adorable pink silk, Cheongsam inspired style mini skirt (WITH BOOTS) and a funky black burlesque girl tshirt! Complete with black beanie and cute beaded necklace, this is one of those spunky looks that Buffy pulls off every once and a while. LET’S TALK ABOUT IT: In the interest of transparency, the original post for this look described Buffy’s skirt as “Oriental”. This was back in early 2011 which, while not that long ago, was for me the start of my 20s and before I really had an idea about the power of language and cultural sensitivity. It seemed appropriate at the time, and while I meant no disrespect I am embarrassed now to have used that descriptor. So I am changing it to reflect the proper garment I meant to reference! Normalize learning new information and changing your stance on things, it’s how we grow. Also, this is 100% still an outfit I would rock, even 10 years later.

What Was She Thinking?

Another miss for the Buffster, I hate to say this but it looks like the Easter Bunny coughed up a hair-ball and she magically fashioned it into an outfit.

Baby pink high-waisted pants (I don’t care if it was the 90’s, nothing high-waisted may also be this putrid colour of pink) white tank top with a flower graphic, and a floral brocade looking baby blue blazer of some sorts. I can’t even look at it anymore, you figure out what the hell it is.

EDIT: Just found out there are cupcakes on her shirt, not flowers. SAVE THE CUTESY SHIRTS FOR BEDTIME, BUFFY.

Buffy has a knack for procuring adorable pajamas. I find this little hearts tank fitting as it’s Valentines Day! And obviously, a high pony to boot. This is peak SMG at her cutest, I’d say.
