I’ve met Paul McGann twice this year at two conventions, and we talked for hours
Paul McGann is my absolute favourite Doctor, and his voice acting (alongside Sophie Aldred’s) inspired me to learn English from nothing to an advanced level, believe in myself, and COMPLETELY change my life - I moved to another country, and it saved my life and my future from a total disaster.
When I met him for the first time at the convention in Dublin, I told him my story, and he invited me to sit with him during the autograph session. We ended up chatting for hours about everything. And the same thing happened when I met him again at the convention in Belfast.
I still can’t believe it - I had one of the most interesting conversations of my life, and in English, with the very person who inspired me to learn this language and who was my main reference while learning it!
Paul McGann is one of the most interesting, amazing, and fascinating people I’ve ever met in my life.
