Thorin II Oakenshield - The Hobbit.

The Dwarf rested his hand atop Bilbo Baggins’ shoulder, the weight just enough to keep the Hobbit in place. Thorin smiled - a genuine smile, not one of madness or greed as he had before, when afflicted by the gold-sickness. He felt for a moment his chest lighten, as though the great dragon had lifted its mighty foot from his being.

"Thank you, master Burglar." He paused. "Bilbo."

The way the Halfling smiled at him made his heart flutter, and oh, the Dwarf King felt himself falling, falling, just as he had when battling the dragon, only this time it was enjoyable, as though with the falling came a sort of lightheaded happiness. 

He was lucky to have survived the reclaiming of Erebor.

He was even luckier, now, to have a friend as dear as Bilbo Baggins by his side.
