I am thinking once again about the idea of another HBO war show based in the Pacific Navy fleet. Because it would satisfy both telling the story of one of the missing branches, and arguably a major one that has been overlooked so far, but it would also add another story to the Pacific war, balancing the distribution of shows. AND, most importantly, there is a warship that is perfect for that role. The USS Enterprise has been at most of the major battles of the war, it had the most battle stars of the war (battles participated in), and it is by far the most renowned ship of the war. First episode opening on the ship hearing about the attack on Pearl Harbor through radio and the aftermath. The Big E (also nicknamed the Grey Ghost) and its crew pulling into Pearl Harbor, seeing the devastation. Idk man, I just think it's the perfect story that can be told.
