I...am a fake ranger fan /HJ I got dates mixed up and missed the Guardian Signs anniversary... this is AFTER I made a Ranger id number for Summer (1503-0610) to HELP me remember...actually it was originally JUST 030610 but then I saw in ranger 1 the ID is 8 numbers long as I added her gs age in with it,,, 15 is how old my bestie and I make her n Ben during GS in our sillies,,, then March (03) 6th (06) 2010 (10) was when gs released at least in America iirc. Yet I haven't felt well recently and forgor 😔
I WAS planning on drawing but I'm having a hard time with my art again. Mayhaps I'll come back with ye ol mythical Amber Eyes thoughts if I ever get them in proper order.

Minami was born in Jubilife City in the Sinnoh region. Her mother was Unovan, while her father was born and raised in Sinnoh. With both of her parents working all day, she was often left with a babysitter, who would Take her berry hunting, which was her favorite activity, and one she carries into adulthood.
When she was five, she and her parents moved to Almia, as they'd gotten better job offers there. Nothing much happened for a few years.
Seeing Rangers work though, she found herself very invested, and she'd watch them anytime they passed by where she was playing that day with a new babysitter.
One day, she'd wandered a little too far in her berry collecting and gotten lost. She'd gotten worked up, and was definitely scared. Until she was found by a patrolling Ranger who helped her get home. That's the day she decided she wanted to help people too. And once age was old enough, she enrolled in Ranger School.
Can I offer you some of my personal interpretation of Summer headcanons?
☀ Summer's name is Minami, but she treats it as a last name instead, to deter people from calling her that. (Family doesn't count)
🎶 Theres a running joke where she claims her middle name is “Caution/Cautious” when in all actuality its June (Her mother thought it was cute)
☀ Her birthday is August 17th, making her a Leo
🎶 She stands at 5’2”. She can be thrown on throw ppl under 5’2” day…..
☀ She is selectively mute and largely non verbal
🎶 She mainly communicates through sign language, though she also has a pichu themed notebook with various pens (it was a gift from Ben) that she'll use instead if someone doesn't understand sign. Alternatively, she will force herself to speak if the situation calls for it.
☀ She has an actual horde of plushies, both “official,” and “knock-off” ones.
🎶 She is unable to stay still for extended periods of time. If she's not on a mission or quest, she's often pacing or trying to find something to do.
☀ She's prone to fidgeting with her scarf or her hands if she has nothing to occupy them. She'd benefit greatly from a fidget cube ngl
🎶 She's very good at identifying berries, and uses them to make little snacks that are edible for both people and pokemon
☀ She's lactose intolerant :( no dairy for her
🎶 Voice Claim! Connor Kelly! Specifically the softer voice she uses for Operator 21O in Nier Automata (BEWARE the video contains Boss Enemy Death, Strong Language and Blood)

So, does anyone ever wonder about Ancient Oblivia ? Like, yeah, we have the multi-player past missions, and the obliva ruins. But does anyone ever wonder more?
Like, we know the fake Dias and the Real Dias with the ho-oh imagery, but. If we go to the past.
We can see the Rainbow Dias design/Ho-oh insignia on the ground of the Cocona Plaza (its worn and covered by grass in the present), and it's the same marking on the doors blocking the way to the Rainbow Grail.
Yes, I know Ho-oh stopped the falling fortress in the past, but. I doubt the Grail and Dias were made specifically for this (especially considering that the past missions seen to take place BEFORE the sky fortress) There has to be some more, especially with the amount of Ho-oh Imagery specifically on Renbow.
I feel as though that the Steelheads/Temple Oracles, along with the arceus worship they seem to heavily associate with (based on how far I got in the missions before my touchscreen has started to give me problems) aren't/isn't native to Oblivia, at least, not the orginal practice and use. That this was something brought in by possibly people from Sinnoh (pre or post hisui age, as we don't know where exactly these two pasts intersect with each other, and which one is first).
I feel the use of the Dias and Grail (along with the amount of Ho-oh Imagery) were originally used in a religious sense, in that I feel the significance of these imply a religious following? Like, like. I can't put it into words. I mean, Ho-oh was so important that a Dias was built in the ocean (there was possibly an entire temple maybe? With the Dias sitting atop it?) And a grail user to summon the Phoenix.
There's a possibility a lot of the ho-oh imagery is answered in later past missions, but I'm struggling on them so I don't fully know !! I just. There's so much in the environments of Oblivia that wave a story, but because we're not given much information, it's a story shrouded in mystery. I just want Answers. Please..Oblivia is so interesting....
Tumblr why do you not auto save drafts of posts. My bad data literally ate an essay and I can't select all copy the entire post ever and I lost 30 minutes worth of theorycrafting Ancient Oblivia and Ho-oh. This sucks OTL I hope data spits it back out and posts it....

YEAH THEY LOOK LIKE THIS!! i wouldn't advise paying the whole 205$ for em, there's cheaper listings of individual ones, but yeah!!!!

In trying to catch all Pokémon in Guardian Signs, I realized Gengar's Guardian Signs sprite doesn't smile with teeth.
It's weirding me out.
Also let the record show that Serebi.net is completely wrong on where Pineco is. It's in the tree at the end of Mitonga Road, it is nowhere near where it says.
I'd like to add on, that if memory serves it can also (?) be found in the tree on the screen with the Jumpluff! I remember the tree because it's the same tree you find the red berry in for the quest for Booker.
Serebi also gave me an annoyance <3 it had to do with croconaw's spawn . They don't specify where it is on the Sophian Road, and they don't give a picture too my recollection. It's in that first screen, you have to roar on one of the beasts' back.
Normally it wouldn't be a problem, since there's a mandatory story battle with one so you'll complete your browser, but it's certainly a headache if you missed out on the S rank and want to grab it.
(I was insane enough to S rank the entire Oblivia browser minus the wifi mission pokemon since I only have the last two wifi missions available to me on my game)
Also if you would like a neat little cheat sheet for the quests, I have one. I just need to make an adjustment next time I play the pichu quest to go into a little more detail there hehe
Actually, I'd just managed to finish up the Browser not too long ago, and finished up all the quests a few days before.
(The tree thing kinda tricked me, for some reason I thought it might've been there just for the berry quest)
But congrats on all the S Ranks! I've been getting most of mine from my newer captures (I've had this game since I was a kid), so I'd have quite a bit to go back through if I wanted to try and get the rest. But those Styler upgrades sure are tempting...
Other than that, all that's left for me is all the stuff in the past.
Oooooohhh.... good luck on the past, genuinely. My 3ds screen died out on me before I could finish. I got up to the ice temple...and the abysmal 1 minute to catch 6 giragfgarig (?????? I can say it. I know it's a palindrome, I cannot spell it) then a weavile at then end.... it's the Hardest mission I got to. I hope you get through it! I need to find a way to beat the past myself so that I can characterize my Summer Perfectly ™ with the past stuff

Sits politely. So, yesterday was Valentine's Day, and as such, me and my best friend who writes Ben to pop off my Summer ( @insert-name-here-13 ) and I decided to do something funny.
We write the duo in a pokemon discord we're in, and in this server you can get items called Hearts of the Moon (cont. Under cut)
And these are to be given between people who hold deep romantic feelings for each other. And we did a thread of them exchanging the hearts yesterday, that Summer turns into a necklace. Also featured is a charm bracelet that Summer made to attach a feather that Staraptor gave her to, and a pichu charm that Ben gave her when the two of them met back up in the server after being separated for at least a few weeks.
Also! You may notice that! My Summer dyes the tips of her hair a darker brown. She does it in a kind of "I still think about the Eyes ™ and hope they're living their best lives (or well. Two of them. The third is currently in hell dimension being judgemented by pokegod)" kinda way. It's hard to put the thought process into words. She does it to remember them, but also because she does find dyed hair fascinating, but she loves having her hair brown.
I have so many GS thoughts but it's hard to put them into words and I fear being spam-y and rambly, but I do have Many Thoughts about the funny loop game
(That technically did pla stuff before pla but that's for another time /HJ)

I'd actually made one in about November of '23 iirc, but it was in quest log order, so I made a second one this time in unlock order :3.
It's best read in print view/desktop. BUT. I hope this helps if you're like me and get paranoid about doing quests when they unlock so you don't have to crunch everything in in the post game <<33
