@willtrainhimâ sent â did  you  get  it  all  out  of  your  system ? â ( meme , not accepting )
The two Padawans are still scowling at each other, Siri with her arms folded across her chest and chin clenched irritably, and Obi-Wan with his hands on his hips and looking like he was trying to send vibro-blades at her through his eyes, but both of them are cowed by the Jedi Masterâs stern reprimand. He should still apologize, Siri thinks angrily, but if heâs going to continue behaving like a spoiled Youngling then at least one of them has to be the bigger Jedi. She tosses her head with a last hmmph in Obi-Wanâs direction, and turns to Qui-Gon apologetically, a little embarrassed that their tiff had been caught by one of their Masters.Â
âYes, Master Qui-Gon,â she tells him, (mentally noting that she beat Obi-Wan to being the first to respond to his Masterâs question) âWeâre â Iâm â sorry, Master Qui-Gon.âÂ
Qui-Gon kept himself schooled in his best impression of Master Dookuâs âIâm not mad, Iâm disappointedâ expression. It was true, he was disappointed in them both, but there was no denying the not-insignificant amount of amusement the Jedi Master was feeling. Siri and Obi-Wan were children and that was something he had to remember in moments like this, their status as Padawans notwithstanding. He and Tahl hadnât been much better.
âI am not the one you must apologize to.â He looks between the two of them for a long moment. âTell me how this started, Padawan Tachi.â
âthe rise of the empire was, in part, the jediâs fault.â itâs not a whisper, but there is a gentleness to the words that belies the truth that qui-gon believes. he wonât put all the blame on his order - his friends, his family - but he knows that they had allowed themselves to become to complacent even after the situation with maul, had allowed themselves to be blinded by the sith lord they had set, albeit accidentally, in a seat of supreme power. and they had all missed the dark influence that same man had over anakin.
oh anakin. he had failed that young man too many times to count. but that was a theme with his students, he could not let his pride hide that fact.
âwe were fools. blinded by our own certainties and loyalties, only discovering truths right under our noses when we were too late to do anything about them. and for that, i am and always will be sorry.â
today i started playing fallen order. i like the little iâve gotten to so far
tfw you wanna watch more kenobi but ur in an airport and your phone needs to charge first
iâm not allowed to wake up finn yet
As much as Qui-Gon very vehemently didnât want another padawan after Xanatos, the Force (and Yoda) were always there to put new learners in his path. But if there was anything he had in common with his old Master, it was that he was stubborn. For all he inevitably gave in to train Obi-Wan, there were other missed opportunities that Qui-Gon both knows and has no idea of.
the real questions: when will i wake up finn and carth?
part of my brain is just âqui-gon hermiting on alderaan during the twinsâ childhoodâ, but me knowing that would be far too risky, even if he never used the force
thinking about how goddamn old qui-gon is in the verse where he lives to the rebellion. because he wasnât a young man when he first met anakin. at that point heâs living off the force, spite, and tea. palpatine used dark secrets to survive to be old as hell? qui-gon is just out-stubborning death.
 - STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II: THE SITH LORDS SENTENCE STARTERSÂ
â After all that has happened, still you live. You are difficult to kill. â â His/her potential lies downwards, not up. â â Explain something to me. â â I do not have the years required nor the desire to indulge you. â â War⌠is a hunger. And there are spirits in the galaxy whose hunger is never satisfied. â â I canât lose him, even if he believes he is protecting me. â â Would you do any less for one of your clan? â â Donât pretend to understand us. â â Youâve got some guts, talking to me like that. â â Did you come here for answers? There are none. â â A cultureâs teachings, and most importantly, the nature of its people, achieve definition in conflict. â â You are the battleground. â â The past is here, and it must be met before the future can be set in motion. â â Be careful of charity or kindness, lest you do more harm with open hands than with a clenched fist. â â It is such a quiet thing, to fall⌠But far more terrible is to admit it. â â Well, lying is lying, even from a certain point of view. â â Give me my ship, or Iâll murder everyone here. â â There is no great revelation, no great secret. â â There is only you. â â I imagine there are worse deaths. â â Anybody here catch that ? All I understood was â very â â â Iâll take the stupid one who decided to threaten us rather than shoot us when he had the chance. â â I have a bad feeling about this. â â It was given an impossible order. â â It is *beneath* me. â â I need you to be the beacon. â â I canât lose him/her, even if they believe they are protecting me. â â To have fallen so far and learned nothing. That is your failing. â â To teach, one must be willing to learn. â â Change is a painful process. â â Direct action is not always the best way. â â Plans are fragile things, and life often dashes expectations to the ground. â â It is not the destination that mattersâit is the journey. â
The ability to speak does not make you intelligent. Now get out of here.

watching kenobi like âhow to integrate alive qui-gon into it for that verseâ
âwell.â
ofnegotiatcrâ:
itâs not the first time heâs struggled with meditation, but it feels different this time. something feels wrong. obi-wan tries to focus on the sound of the waterfall, on his breathing â in, out, in, out â but nothing works. his eyes snap open at the presence of his master in the room, but he doesnât turn around to look at the older man. obi-wan takes in a deep breath.   â iâm fumbling in the dark, struggling to make something out. but iâve long ceased finding anything. â
      ⸺ @willtrainhimââ sent â for a random sentence starter (1079)
he can feel the struggle in obi-wan, watches until obi-wan clearly gives up on his meditation to speak to him. itâs a stark reminder of his apprenticeâs youth. so often obi-wan carries himself with a grace of a full knight that qui-gon nearly forgets that he still needs guidance. he lowers himself to the ground next to him. âif you are struggling to see, try another sense. listen. taste. smell. feel. your eyes are not your only conduit to the force.â
look whoâs dragged herself back into this hell
for all qui-gon ABSOLUTELY would give obi-wan a hard time about ending up on the council, heâd also be super proud. and he trusts obi-wan to have a good head on his shoulders
