My best friend is gone. It happened in the early hours of the 27th. I woke up but couldnt save him.

No more holding hands. No more belly and chest rubs. No more excited merps in the mornings when we both wake up.

We were inseparable for 14 years. Almost every day we spent at home together, save for an occasional trip to the store, one month of me in the ward in the 2020, and a trip to the countryside once a year. It feels wrong that he's not here, that he won't be here with me. It doesn't feel real.

I love him and i hope there's afterlife bc i can't imagine never seeing him again.

Einy update that is a bit graphic and sadder than i would hope.

We bit the fucking bullet and took Einy to get chemo. Apart from the problem with the iv it was alright, he was on a decent amount of gabapentin yet it didn't make him sleepy or calm until we were going back home. Then he slept for a whole day. Guess we need something stronger. Like vodka. Or cigarettes. Ideally both.

Since then he was mostly sleeps, drinking water, and peeing out the poison and dead cancer cells(i assume). He ate a decent amount only twice and i have to force feed him(gently) with a syringe

I am not optimistic.

Update while this was in drafts the situation turned to worse. Today his eyes are half shut almost all the time (in sleep, while awake), third eyelid visible, saliva around mouth, viscous, his breath stinks, his mind is foggy, pupils barely react to light, attempts to pee and sometimes nothing happens (he was drinking a lot of water these days but not in the second half of today, not a lick).
