I'm going to spend maybe another 4 - 6 weeks on these two paintings before I peel off the 712+ meters of tape. I plan to take these paintings to the next level, and then some. Cheers 😎🍸

Okay, I'm done. All the tape is off (see images below). The dark contours are essential.

The presentation above is my Josef Albers interpretation of black hole emissions from my backyard in two dimensions in the year 24,702. To the original photograph, I had executed some graphic manipulations to compensate for the awkward camera angle during the shoot but the edits are not significant. Notwithstanding, anyone measuring the results, would be able to calculate just exactly how drunk ... never mind.

The two paintings are what they are, brain food.

There is much that can be done with these arrangements of color. They can manifest themselves in various other forms:

I started these two paintings on August 20, 2025. According to my calculations, I am more than 9945/13689 done — more than two thirds. I will be joining the 5-digit club soon, circumstances permitting. I plan to finish them by mid-June at this pace, 40-50 squares per day on average. In other words, forever. Time does not exist.

'Milkweed' #3 and #4, or so. I forgot.

Mission accomplished on taping the second grid (~100 x 100 cm). This grid is half the size of the first (~200 x 200 cm), and I plan to paint them both simultaneously, thus doubling or quadrupling the productivity. I will be staring into a palette of colors most of the time, looking at a display, and counting, and looking at numbers, a lot, is my conclusion — 117 to the second power times two, to be precise. 😹

My submission to the Tikkanen Prize in Ashtabula, Ohio was not accepted, but I was invited to this show at Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. All good. 😎

Pictured above is my friend Sue, she hung the array of 8 paintings, rescues horses, and can do pretty much anything.

I managed removal of the guide lines today, this is a milestone, to be sure. I don't need them anymore. The colors are brilliant IRL, pigment never disappoints!

I will wait until Friday night or Saturday to finish painting the remaining squares, beginning when the Grumbacher Cyan arrives. I best like it or I will have to mix my own.

Cyan seems like an impossible color in painting for me, acrylic and oil. But I get used to it.

Friday will be the full-on Grumbacher Cyan, a color I have never used, and I had better not be disappointed! I'm sure I will be, LOL.

In the future, maybe I will need to implement some nuclear radiation into the cyan for that glowing effect, like mixing in a little plutonium. We shall see.

I just want to share with others how I see colors in this way now, I don't know why. Go figure.

It will get worse.
