Today we’ve got a night sketching session which was really fun and new to me. Now I’m sitting in my hotel and trying to process all the information from roday. At night you don’t really see the real colors at so it’s hard to inagine how the exactly finished work will look like. But I’ve definetly learned that the colors should ‘vibrate’ and that the sky is not black:) Thank you @annaegida , it was a great first day.:)

At Bologna Book Fair I’ve got a good feedback on my little turtle guy. So I’ve decided to work on his story more.

So after Bologna I’ve decided to work more on my textures and characters and get more savvy in Procreate app. I’ve got the idea for this illustration when I was thinking of some unusual pets for pets assignment by @promptparty But it came together just now. How do you like the colors? (It was a real struggle for me:))

Finished my peeing mice sketch today. It triggered my imagination, when I saw the funny sign in a wc at #bcbf18 It was saying how much liquid different species pee. And for some reason there were 12 mice and 1 teaspoon:)

Today was another busy day at the Fair. I was browsing around the stands, queueing for more portfolio reviews (oh, my poor feet!) and spreading around my cards. This was with the girl in a forest was particularly liked a lot. The Fair is fun! #bcbf18 #bolognabookfair #wowyellow_art

We’re in Bologna now and today I’ve got lucky to meet with other some awesome illustrators and to sketch some people on a street. We found some cozy cafe with outside sitting and stuck there for a few hours, just chatting, sipping wine and drawing. Tomorrow is the first day if the Fair, so I will keep you posted about how’s it going. I’m nervous but happy. :)
