okay. I know that I’m supremely awful with starter calls, but I’m gonna put one up anyways. I have a few personal plans for how I’m gonna develop sun’s character in the wake of recent citta events, but for now… well.

sun’s really not in a good spot right now mentally. the conflict between humans and non-humans brought up a lot of shitty memories he was just starting to get past, and as a result there’s not exactly a lot of shine to him right now. (get it, the sun shining… no? okay.)

anyways, I’m looking for a few specific things here, but generally what I want is for either a villain to try and mess with his head even more, or alternately for someone heroic to try and snap him out of his funk. either or works, really.

I’m not gonna put any sort of caps on it for now, but this is primarily a long-term plotting ad. castmates are encouraged to like this, as are people who’ve already threaded with sun.

sun had been watching the entire scene unfold through his phone; hard not to want to see a white fang scumbag get trashed like that. harsh as it may have been, sun couldn’t help but admit to a grim sense of satisfaction from the whole thing. after all, these were the people that had taken so much from him and his people - they destroyed any hope of true equality between human and faunus by proving the prejudiced humans right, completely ravaged beacon, and hurt two of his best friends. 

he held no pity for his so-called ‘brother’ after all that, and whatever role he may have played in it all. as far as sun was concerned, he had it coming. 

and yet, sun knew that the way it happened... this was too much. somehow, he had to do something to keep this from turning the whole city on its’ ass. even if he couldn’t really do anything anyways - after all, it was still his fault that his friends even got hurt in the first place (he couldn’t stop them, he just couldn’t) - he could still stall for time. maybe.

who was he kidding, though. he couldn’t do anything. there was no point in trying.

“ i gotta find blake... or raven, maybe. they can probably do something about this. i know i can’t. ”

“ is it just me, or have i been missing a lot of stuff going on around here lately? ” perhaps his injuries were a bit more destructive to him than he anticipated.

“ man, you guys just don’t let up about this kind of thing, do ya? ” of course, if he hadn’t been nursing his wounds, he’d have agreed with the people calling for heroes whole-heartedly. but now, he was just tired of the debate, tired of all the talk of heroes, villains, and the like.

“ seriously. it’s not like a few peoples’ words are gonna mean anything. you guys want heroes so bad, be them. s’that simple. just be ready to deal with whatever consequences it might bring. ”

he sure hadn’t been ready when the reality of heroism reared it’s ugly head upon him and his friends.

he’s got a lot of feelings about the whole incident that just transpired. 

the first is that he hurts like hell, injuries old and new crumpling him like a useless paper. and, in truth, in the eyes of his attackers, that was about all he was: a waste of space that could easily have gone to a human that apparently would have used it better. at least, that’s what he remembered them saying; it had become increasingly hard to tell with the abject ringing in his ears. words weren’t exactly registering just yet; at least, not coherently. it was all a jumble, much like his head as a whole felt. 

not that his head was the only issue; his legs were gashed open, with chunks of denim caked in blood strewn around him. as a hand drifted up to his head, he felt a familiar warm liquid trickling from an apparent wound - he figured he’d kept his head well protected at least, but clearly such wasn’t the case. his arms felt relatively normal, even with the gashes in them as well; at the very least, he could use them to try and get up, regardless of whatever pain shot through him when he did.

in a way, sun felt like he’d had it coming. after all, he was the minority, the one who didn’t belong to the general populace. he was the outlier, and it was only natural that those who fell in line either urged him to do the same - by force, if need be - or to correct it by disposing of him. with a jolt of pain, sun flicked his tail and attempted to make his way back home - he could hopefully get some medical supplies and fix things up before certain people (people who he’d already caused enough strife) caught wind of what had happened to him here.

and, for that matter, the fact that he simply stood there and took it all.

after all, what was the point these days? the heroes weren’t heroes anymore; hunters and huntresses had no meaning here, while the white fang was a name on everyone’s lips. fires sprouted up left and right, and even though people worked tirelessly to quell the flames and the ones who brought them about, it was only the crooks that were recognized. while a part of sun knew such was the issue of being a hero, it was a bit out of hand when the heroes couldn’t even accomplish anything long term. if anything, they were a glorified damage control, springing to action when a problem arose and not a moment sooner - after all, what was the point in stopping a problem before it got there?

sun was tired of it all. and he was holding out for a hero himself at this point. after all, he couldn’t be one; not when he was effectively a villain in the eyes of the populace.
