He's a landlord who might kill you for breaking contracts with him, putting emphasis on the "lord" part of his occupation. He wants to have authority over others, even if its just in the apartment building that he owns. (he probably isn't a big fan of how things work now that the women are in charge)

Him being..unreasonable when dealing out consequences aside, he's relatively an agreeable and sociable man, and actually can be considered a hospitable and accommodating landlord.

When its nearing rent payment deadline, he would sometimes walk through the halls, rapping a reminder to all his tenants that he's got a hypnosis microphone, and wouldn't think twice of using it to "evict" them and make space for someone who'd actually follow his terms.

If you're able to follow his terms then he's willing to turn a blind eye to any unsavory ideas you'd have, as long as it wouldn't get him in trouble with the authorities indirectly. (ex: he doesn't care if you use illegal drugs in the premises but he won't let you make them there, either). His terms are fairly simple anyway, pay on time, keep the common-use areas in good condition, things like that.
