A wild new #yellowstickydoodle appeared! Yet another (belated) commission - happy birthday! :D My markers weren't at their best this time, so while I try to fix the scanned version so it doesn't suck SO much (when I manage to do it, if it's possible at all, I'll add it to this post), here's a vectorized version that hides as many imperfections as I could. Anyway, trying new styles as you see - and I got new markers today! : )
First #yellowstickydoodle of 2015! This is a commission from much longer ago than I want to admit - still two more to go! If she likes it, this goes to the second yellow sticky mug ever as a very late Christmas present : )
It's been (again) a long time since the last update - I've got some commissions for the holidays, though :) Merry Christmas everyone!
I've been wanting to put my post-it-doodling efforts into something special for someone special for quite a while... Saturday 23rd August was finally going to be the day - happy birthday! Last week, during my annual(ish) visit to my family in León (Spain), my cousin pointed out how cool it would be to have some of these #yellowstickydoodles turned into T-shirts or anything of the like. I had some extra money left to spend on one more birthday present and thought it would be awesome to try something like that. However, a friend of us was planning to make her an amazing Doctor Who-themed T-shirt (all diehard Whovians knew what 23rd August also meant) and I almost always get her clothes throughout the year, sometimes just because. Because of that, I kept our friend's secret while I followed the whole process and I thought of something different: she has recently become very fond of cool, different mugs. It was too late to go back to Disney Store to get her one of the coolest Nightmare Before Christmas mugs we've ever seen, but, well... here you are!* The pictures go as follows: 1) The Yellow Sticky Doodles themselves, just scanned from the original post-its. 2) Pre-scan sketching and inking. 3) Picture cleanup and resizing, so they fit the mug dimensions without looking blurry. 4) A test I made with my home printer and a piece of paper sellotaped around one of my mugs, just to check how a real-life Yellow Sticky Mug (?) would like. 5) The real thing, just before wrapping it. *What do you think? Did you like it? Would you like me to make more like these? Your opinions will be much appreciated and taken into account! : )
Whoa, it’s been almost a year since I last posted a #yellowstickydoodle here! - new job, (even) less time to sleep/relax… you know, stuff. My first portrait commission in AGES, and something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. Happy birthday, guys!

It had to happen. Let me introduce you to the Must Sleep series, where I'll show you what my head and my 'drawing' hand are able to improvise in front of a post-it when I've stayed up doing work-related stuff until the wee hours of the morning (more often than desirable lately), right when I'm too tired and it's too late to do anything that has to make sense. Caveat: seriously, weird things coming under the #mustsleep tag.
I swear this was a robot before I messed up and decided it should turn into this random cat lady. Also: my HUGE stack of post-its (bought in December 2009) died today, at last.
Hi! Are you still there? It's been almost a year since I last updated this... As you can imagine I've been quite busy lately (is it good or bad, provided the purpose of this Tumblr blog?), but I felt the need to keep one or two of all the doodles I've scrapped over these months. Last week I asked a very simple question on Twitter and Facebook aimed at all my students and colleagues, a Yellow Sticky Doodle being the first prize. The answer to the question was, of course, Doctor Who - so here's the Tenth Doctor (portrayed by David Tennant, whose birthday, coincidentally, is today!) posing with his sonic screwdriver and his 3D glasses :D Congrats @pacostrato and Auri!
