✘- Event [ Rot ]
He finally got to beat the crap out of something. About damn time, he was getting sick of everyone getting along. The thing was teams, right? What a nuisance. If this thing was as weak as his contractor had said, one person should suffice. He cursed under his breath, this whole damn thing was annoying to him. He didn’t want anything to do with teams or group efforts. Hell, he was the type of person to swoop in at the last moment just to take all the glory.
Look at me! I finished it off, so where’s my praise?
Praise was not something a person like him would get anymore. Of course it was something he craved as corruptly as could be. It wasn’t for the satisfaction of others, it was solely for himself. Depraved and clawing for it, he yearned and writhed for it in even simple tasks. Some things never change.
With an almost excited pep in his step, he made his way to the district with the park Kyubey had described. This was the place alright. It was rotten and putrid, with the smell of dying foliage coming off of everything in the place. He trampled his way through the dead and dying plants, not minding the sickening crunching coming from the sticks and twigs on the ground. The way they had rotten gave them an almost bone-like look, which would be unsettling to someone who happened to have their wits about them; someone he was not. He needed these things to live, right? So that meant it was completely justified to kick the crap out of this thing, right?
It had a rather pathetic appearance, with some overly fluffy sheep as minions. It looked paper-thin and frail, an easy target. What was the catch? Was it really that easy? This thing was supposed to pose a threat to him?
Please.
【 He could sense it. That manifestation of despair, the wailing cries of the witch. But of course, he couldn't really hear the distorted wallowing. Only the tight feeling in his chest didn't seem to cease. This was how it was like most days, any days that a Witch's Labyrinth were to form. This ability of his, though not as weak as it were in his younger days, was something that he was born with. Something inherited from his reckoned grandmother.
With his two roommates asleep, and hopefully safe, Natsume had bolted out of his apartment room window, Mahou form and all. Thankfully, his abilities had managed for a soft landing. Just like that, he was gone with the wind.
This had become quite the daily routine of his. During moments that a Witch is to appear, the boy noticeably grows uneasy. Of course, feeling such negative emotions often will do that to a person, worry and even fear that someone close to him is in danger. Which is why, the moment it resurges, he doesn't hesitate to encounter it.
Because of his unusually strong sense of perception and fast long distance travel via jumping from building to building via wind (ah how he felt like such a bird), it didn't take long for him to find the general area of the Witch. Plus, Kyubey had already described the location of the Witch beforehand, so his inherited ability wasn't exactly needed, though it could prove useful in the distant future.
His entrance nearing the garden area was rewarded with the sight of a splotch of red, a scar apparent on his face. An unfamiliar face. Though, he had a feeling the two had arrived with the same goal in mind. 】
❝ You... You're a Mahou as well? ❞
【 Natsume slowly approached the other, the wind of no distinct source blew softly around him. The boy's weapon, a glave at that, was already in hand and ready for anything. 】
