The "Young Avengers" ended with Avengers: the Children's Crusade. It was an Avengers book starring them, at the end of which they were declared Avengers by Cap. So I'm 100% with you on how if the franchise ever gets picked up again, it should be a new team. Not saying I don't want the old team back, just not under "Young Avengers". 2 coming of age stories (ACC, V2) is one coming of age story too many but that's what the name demands.

Depends on how you count, I suppose.

But yeah, much like Teen Titans it’s a pretty limiting name. You can write about characters who are teens, do teen things and live in the shadows of greater/old characters and that’s more or less it. And comic characters always run the risk of stagnating into a certain type, see Spiderman, so for their own good it’s probably better if they move on from that label and let another group pick it up.

What's the future for Young Avengers? Will there be another Volume? Any more stories from them? I really want to know what happens post the end of v2! :(

V2 had a somewhat straightforward ending and it doesn’t seem like much has happened between it and the All-New All-Different stuff. The characters have gone their separate ways, though they still seem to keep in contact. Kate’s in Hawkeye, Billy and Teddy are in New Avengers, America is somewhere, I believe Cassie is sort of in Ant-Man, and Eli, Tommy and David seem to be in comic book limbo for the time being. 

They’re all rapidly approaching adulthood so it’s pretty likely that they’ll be leaving that name behind, though perhaps another group will pick it up some day. Or Marvel will pull a DC and reboot them back to their mid-teens, who knows.

Side-image-anon here. Basically anything that has either of the Young Avengers groups in it, rather than the group of evil exes born out of Loki's conscience. That's not really Young Avengers-y. My personal preference is the old team but mileage may vary.

I tried to find something suitable but it’s hard to find anything from the older runs, most panels either contain too many speech bubbles or not enough team members. And though I’m not a fan of McKelvie’s art I have to admit that it works quite well for icons, side bar images, etc. simply because it’s very clean and easy to view even when scaled down significantly. 

Well, we’ll have to see if we’ll stick with this image or not.

Is there any chance you'll replace the side image? There are so many better images to use for a Young Avengers blog than the 2013 run's issue 12 cover

The image has actually been around longer than I have but I suppose I could change it. Did you have any specific replacement in mind?
