The popular toys featured in the attached :30 video are a hot news item this holiday season, not just for the fervor with which they're flying off store shelves but for the random fires they've sparked in households across the country.

The culprit: consumer unawareness or negligence regarding explicit safety instructions not to overcharge the unit, a practice that turns its batteries into potential mini-missiles. As if the record-breaking warm temperatures on the East Coast aren't enough of a proverbial sign-of-the-times, the man featured in the video -- a 'pastor' -- gives (and takes) a new meaning to the term "holy roller".

Quite an expanse of pasture exists between our rebellion and redemption. As long as we live, it holds our g(r)aze. I started sharing this video in the *smh* spirit my fam shared it with me. After all, it's shepherds like him who lead folks astray, right? Well...

Ministers are indeed held to a higher standard. For all we know from the snippet of limited scope, however, his congregation could be youth-heavy and the hoverboard's purpose was to reach them exactly where the trends of the time have led. Of course, he could just be a thief in the temple as per Jer. 7:11 and Matt. 21:13 or 20th century Prince music. All are in need of just, sound counsel. Human nature often does inhabit persecution more than true practices and praise.

Regardless, the flock has the responsibility of separating all mess/ages from messengers and tending ~ not tripping (over) ~ each other. Only by knowing and living that, #truth, does the real gift keep on... Forgive, me and you. Please ~ thank You ~ You're welcome, Holy Spirit.
