ywhaeil:
haeil raised an eyebrow as he hovered beside hanbyeol and watched the dough being poked at, only to deflate and become flat. that was just sad. he wasn’t sure what the older male did to make it turn out so wrong- but it turned out badly, anyway.
he stepped forward to touch the dough, it was kind of like baking, though, a mix of cooking as well, it wasn’t as if he was trying to make bread or cookies, so he could try his best- and the dough felt dry. licking his lower lip, he tried to work the dough a few more times. he tried to add an other egg- maybe they were missing an egg- and no, it was dry, and still deflated and turned flat. sad.
“um. yeah, we should maybe order pizza instead. i guess it can’t always turn out good, no matter how hard we try.” he snorted now and rubbed at his cheek, feeling a little bad. the older male was excited about making pizza- but they screwed it up somehow.
“yeah, i don’t think we could eat it without getting sick.”
To be fair, Hanbyeol wasn’t sure any pizza dough ever had contained egg - none of the recipes had, that was for sure - but he let Haeil do as he pleased. If he could make it work, then so be it, but he was fairly sure the both of them were lacking in technique more than they were the ingredients.
But Haeil was right - in the best interests of their stomachs (and perhaps their toilets afterwards) - it would be a smarter move to avoid possibly toxic food. That didn’t, however, mean he couldn’t be disappointed about it. He’d very much been looking forward to fresh, homemade pizza.
“You make it sound like it’s ever turned out well,” Hanbyeol mentioned, but he ultimately let it go with a sigh, picking up his phone. “Do we even have pizza delivery out here?” Yangwon wasn’t exactly rural per se, but he for sure hadn’t seen any of the pizza chains he knew out here.
