A/n: Hey guys so Iâm super sorry I havenât been uploading as consistently as usual, if youâve left me a request I promise Iâm getting to them!! I have a friend/almost boo from out of town whoâs visiting so Iâve been busy and also a lot of shit going on thatâs just mentally exhausting me so bare with me. Anyway I hope you enjoy this imagine!! Itâs a bit short and itâs a Zach imagine technically but heâs actually not in it much but whatever
âUgh, is it cool if I stay at your house for a few days?â my best friend, Ava, huffed as she flopped onto my bean bag in the corner of my room as I sat on my bed in front of her.
âSure, why? Everything okay?â I asked worriedly.
âEverythingâs fine,â she confirmed, âjust Jackâs band is staying at our house for a few nights and theyâre always so loud and I can never sleep and Iâll probably have to give my room up to one of them.â
âThey sleep in your bed?â you laughed, imagining one of the boys on Avaâs bed with her purple bed sheets and decorated walls.
âSometimes, yeah,â she chuckled, squishing her hand into the bean bag out of boredom, seemingly mesmerized.
âWell, yeah, you can stay here,â you reaffirmed, giving her a smile as you tossed a pillow at her, causing her to gasp.
âYou know what this means, right?â she asked.
âZachâs gonna be here,â she smirked, wiggling her eyebrows at you, causing you to roll your eyes.
âI should have thrown that pillow harder,â you joked, sticking your tongue out at her as you flopped onto your stomach, covering your face with your hands in case you were blushing.
âCome on, we know youâre totally crushing on Zach. Iâve known for forever you just wonât admit it,â she winked, throwing the pillow back at me gently as I caught it in my hands.
âShut up you totally are,â she repeated, seeing right through your lies despite the fact that you kept trying to convince her you didnât like Zach in that way.
Since you and Ava had been so close, you had met Zach on multiple occasions. Either when they were visiting, or you had gone with Ava and the rest of Jackâs family to see the boys.
Jack was like a brother to you, and he considered you his sister so he always liked seeing you.
You had never intended to fall for one of his bandmates, and you felt stupid about it. You always thought to yourself how could someone like that ever be with someone so normal and average?
Regardless, you liked Zach. You got so excited whenever you saw him. There was just something about him that drew you to him right away, and you couldnât forget about it. You knew Jack could never know. If Ava liked Zach, he would freak out, and it would be the same for you.
âJack doesnât know, right?â you asked after thinking about the whole situation, looking at Ava intently.
âI mean Iâve never told him,â she shrugged, âbut I donât think itâs that hard to tell considering how blushy and giggly you get whenever Sir Zachary is around.â
âI do not!â you countered.
âYou do, stop being in denial,â Ava chuckled, standing up and sitting next to you on the bed, laying across your back and hugging you as best as she could from the odd position you guys were in.
You sat in Avaâs living room, watching episodes of Gilmore Girls for probably the 20th time as you snacked on popcorn you had made.
The door opened and both of you whipped your heads in the direction of the front of the house, hearing the loud sounds of the 5 boys entering the house, Jack calling out for his mom and his sisters.
You paused the show and placed the popcorn on the coffee table in front of you, walking with Ava to the front door to greet the boys, giving them all tight hugs.
âHey sistah sistah,â Jack grinned as he opened his arms, squeezing you tightly as you wrapped your arms around him.
Lastly, you looked at Zach, who flashed his award winning smile as he opened his arms invitingly and you walked into them, a huge grin spread across your face.
âHey y/n,â he said, squeezing you before letting go.
âHey Zach,â you said, trying not to blush.
Ava gave you a wink, and Jack furrowed his eyebrows at the exchange between the two of you before averting his gaze back to his mom, smiling happily as he told her about their trip here.
The boys went upstairs with all of their bags and you and Ava made your way back to your spots on the couch, legs curled up in front of you.
âThat was quite the greeting,â she laughed, nudging you with your elbow.
âShut up I was nervous!â you exclaimed, nudging her back as you thew your head back, embarrassed at how awkward you probably looked s sounded once you interacted with Zach.
âIt was cute itâs fine. Just ask him out at this point,â she laughed, reaching for the remote but was stopped when a voice interrupted.
âAsk who out?â Jack asked as he walked into the room slowly, his eyebrows raised.
âNo one!â you and Ava both exclaimed simultaneously, looking at each other and knowing you were both praying to something that he did not hear any of the conversation beforehand.Â
âHm,â he nodded, giving you both a strange look as he watched your expressions of nervousness.
âI saw you wink at Y/n when she hugged Zach, Ava,â he pointed out, your heart racing as you tensed up.
âI didnât,â she denied, shaking her head and trying to pull it off.
âYou totally did,â he chuckled.
âNo, it was about something else,â you butted in, plastering a smile onto your face in hopes it was convincing.
âYou guys are terrible liars,â Jack pointed out, making you both exhale loudly.
âYouâre not allowed to date him, Y/n,â Jack said, half joking.
âYeah she can. If he likes her, she can,â Ava retorted.
âNo, youâre like my sister, band members are off limits. Iâm gonna let him hurt you or be dumb and mess things up,â Jack said, shaking his head.
âJack, stop, you guys arenât even related,â Ava said.
âWe basically are,â he answered, sitting on the arm of the couch.
âDoesnât matter, Jack. She can be with whoever she wants as long as itâs mutual,â Ava laughed, pushing her brother slightly.
âNo! Somethingâs gonna go wrong and then Iâm gonna have to punch him or something,â Jack said.
âWhatever, Ava, itâs okay, he doesnât even know and probably doesnât like me back,â you whispered, putting a hand on her shoulder as she stopped bickering with her brother.
âYouâre not dating Zach, Y/n, Iâm too protective over you. No boys until youâre 30,â he laughed as if he was a dad.
Your eyes widened as you saw the familiar brown haired boy walk into the living room, a confused expression on his face.
âOh my god,â you muttered under your breath, humiliation flowing through you.
âEverything okay?â Zach asked.
