well deleted my account. I have mega RP burnout that isn't going away anytime soon/no time for it, plus I've been getting barely any connects and most of the prompts don't interest me at all these days. 'why delete your account though' to remove temptation to use the site. Anywho, I think, if you count cherubplay, I've been using this form of RPing for about 7 years. crazy.

so something I see on Cherami a lot is posts that straight up have no tags other than the automatic ones or posts being under-tagged, and I always wonder if it's not possible to make some adjustments to prompt posting. My suggestions:

Make it so if a prompt is tagless other than the auto-tags, give the user a pop-up or some kind of message that says 'post must have tags to be posted to the directory' or something to that effect

Make these three tags mandatory: FANDOM tags, CHARACTER tags, and GENDER tags. I feel like the vast majority of the reports I send are people mistagging or not tagging for these three things. A a very common one is people simply not tagging for character gender. Make it so if a person hasn't tagged these, they once again get a popup or message saying 'prompt tags must have fandom/character/gender tags'

I think this would make life easier for the mods too, so they're not swimming in like a million 'no tags' 'mistagged' type reports and can focus on other reports and things like that. Of course I don't know the backend of the site so maybe this isn't feasible, but just thought I'd share my two cents.

Question! What's the word on people putting DNIs in their OOC? Just saw somebody put something to the tune of "Fine with platonic interactions (Name/Name shippers DNI)' in their OOC and idk, that feels weirdly hostile yannow? I feel like that sort of language shouldn't be allowed. If you're not interested in a ship, just say 'not looking to RP this ship!'

Noticed an uptick in people trying to RP Roblox-based games on Cherami and I'm like. and so the demographic on Cherami continues to skew younger...also there should be a catch-all Roblox tag if there isn't one already

PSA for the JJK RPers on cherami: Ryomen is neither a surname nor a first name it's a title. if you're gonna tag him tag it Ryomen Sukuna or more likely just Sukuna i am begging you

yet another annoying thing I keep seeing lately: using Fantasy Morphology (Non-Binary) to mean 'has a dick and cooch'

actually I notice the FM tags tend to get misused quite a bit. I'll see somebody playing, say, a female character and tag her 'fantasy morphology (masculine)' because she has a penis and vise versa.

Not sure how to mitigate this other than forcing people to read, or just making new tags.

and PS as ever getting trans male/trans female on prompts where they mean Fantasy Morphology, ho hum.

It's always really fascinating to see what Cherp users consider to be 'dead/niche/unpopular fandoms'. saw somebody call Fire Emblem a dead fandom. have seen people call HypMic and Prince of Tennis niche and dead fandoms. saw somebody call Black Butler dead and acting like it was odd they wanted to RP it in 2025. anyways i think cherp users live under a rock inherently.

anyone else trade discords with people but then just totally stop RPing with them even if you continue to talk with them as friends? like not intentionally but that's how it shakes out. side note I can't RP smut with friends I've come to find (used to be able to but not anymore) so if we were doing smut RP well...
