@zekeyymiller
she knew sending a text such as was risky. but she wanted to help, after everything that had happened it was in fact the past. sasha had grown so much in the past five years, she no longer depended on the people around her and she wasn’t afraid to put herself out there which is what she was doing now. she had sent a message to zeke to meet her at a quiet yet rare record store he once took her too years ago in downtown brooklyn. everything in this store was vinyls, the walls and ceiling covered in band and tour posters. she was flipping through a collection of vinyls putting some aside.
she looked up hearing the bell attached to the store front that would go off whenever someone entered. she smiled seeing the familiar face, she was starting to wonder if he would even show up. “ezekiel miller, thanks for not standing me up” she teased before motioning him to come over to where she was. “remember this?” she said pulling out an old fall out boy vinyl. she walked over to one of the record players and putting in the vinyl setting it to the song dance dance. she smiled at the nostalgic tune blasted through the speakers as she turned facing zeke. mouthing the first few lines to him, before goofily dancing to the song. “high school, you asked me to dance with you to this song.. and boy did we dance.. we danced to the point that mr webster told us to chill before we hurt ourselves or others” she laughed.
Getting the text to meet Sasha at an old record store he had found and shown her quite a while ago was a surprise, but it didn’t bother Zeke at all. After feeling knocked down for so long he wasn’t going to say no to hanging out without someone who felt like home. Sasha had been a part of his life for as long as he could remember, and while they had definitely had their downs he was glad they were both at a stage in their lives where they could talk and it didn’t end in anyone’s feelings getting hurt. Even though he had definitely made mistakes whilst being part of his current label it was clear that the boy had matured somewhat, either that or he had just grown tired. After getting caught in traffic, Zeke finally made it to the store a little bit later than originally planned, and he flashed Sasha an apologetic smile as he saw her. “Hey,” he breathed out before letting out a laugh. “Are you kidding? I’d never stand you up.” he pointed out, shoving his hands in his pockets as he looked around the store. It had been one of his favourite places once upon a time. Everything about it reminded him of why he loved music so much, and being there now made his chest tighten a little with both that feeling of inspiration and also a little pain at his current situation. At her motion he walked over to her, arching a brow at her question. “Yeah?” he replied, watching as she walked over to the vinyl player. The instant the song started playing Zeke smiled again, his head ducking for a brief moment before he looked up in time to see her mouth the first few lines of the song and started dancing, which to Zeke had always looked amazing no matter how goofy she was being. He took a few small steps closer, his mind instantly flashing back to the high school memory as she brought it up. “Of course I remember, I’m pretty sure he was just offended that we could do the sprinkler better than he could.” he chuckled playfully.
