Zella had been able to fill the week without Gillian pretty easily. A little extra quality time with her girls, doting on Celeste, and an extra shift or two at the bar did the trick just fine. That didn’t make her miss her girlfriend any less, though. She’d been giddy all day as she waited for it to be time to pick her up from the airport. She’d outdone herself in the extra department with a sign, flowers, and a small care package of Gillian’s favorite snacks. Finally, Gillian’s plane began letting people out and she saw her her favorite face in the crowd. She had every intention of staying put with her sign held up but as soon as she was close enough she wouldn’t have to knock anyone over to get to her, Zella jumped into her arms and kissed her. “Hi,” she breathed against her lips. “I missed you.” She kissed her again without a care in the world for anyone around them. “Welcome home. I may have gone overboard just a little.” @itsgillianstupid
