Pretty much sums up 2024 so far!!

Steel and sex appeal, baby.
i've noticed an insidious trend of describing minimalism (especially minimalistic living) as "devoid of personality" and "as comfortable as a dentist's office" while praising maximalism into high heavens, and i just need you guys to realize that "you own more things -> you are a more interesting person" is some really capitalistic thinking for people who like to describe themselves as anti-capitalists.
like. you don't need a thousand trinkets in your home to have a personality. you don't need a figurine of your favorite show to be a fan of the show. you don't need thirty books on your bookshelf that you'll never read again just to show off how well-read you are. you don't need a souvenir from every place you've been to to keep it in your memories.
in a world full of advertisements that tell you that you need this-or-that to be happy/interesting/cool, give capitalism a huge fuck you by becoming just a little more of a minimalist (or at least not talking down on those who do). not to mention how much better it is for the environment...
