Dorcas found herself a nervous wreck, her stomach clenching and unclenching underneath her rapid heart. Her fingers clutched at the blue and white tie around her neck. She could feel a lump in her throat as she walked towards the black lake, pulling her shawl tighter around her small frame. In all honesty, Dorcas wasn't sure what she was going to say. She didn't know what she could possibly say after what had happened; she ran away. An excellent dueler, Dorcas wasn't naive to the Unforgivable Curses. She knew what they were and what they were capable of but actually seeing one performing in front of her? It scared her terribly and she hadn't known what to do, so Doe ran. And as afraid as she might've been, she wanted to talk to Nik again. Make things right. Because after thinking about it, despite what had happened, she really did like him and enjoy what time they had spent together. Dorcas Meadowes was as naive as they came and she believed in things like second chances and love at first sight, so it wasn't too much of a shock that she was even thinking about him at all- though she'd never tell her friends. Doe bit her lip, leaning against a big Sycamore tree in front of the Black Lake while she waited for him.
