Except the Federation doesn’t know. Ridley kept it a secret. And they can’t, unless they have some way to send messages faster than the speed of light without sending a messenger spaceship. (Ridley probably has enough firepower to destroy any messenger ships.) Perhaps a buoy system? But wasn’t the colony near the border? The message would still take a long time to travel. I’m sure Ridley wouldn’t overlook destroying the means by which the message would travel faster than the speed of light.
Okay, hold up -- I honestly feel as if I rubbed you the wrong way or something since you've been pointing out anything you deem 'wrong' in my ongoing roleplays to the point it's starting to feel more like personal attacks than simple criticism.
I'm here to roleplay for fun, and I'm honestly sorry I can't reach your expectations on lore as I still need to do plenty of research on Metroid, but I would much rather do said research when I'm on a better state of mind.
Now, as for your counter-argument, Metroid is pretty much Science Fiction. Loop holes exist in Sci Fi. Like stated earlier, I need to do more research on Metroid's Lore to come up with a loop-hole that will not seem too bizarre and out there. But, overall, this is just roleplay and it's done for fun -- which is why I feel like this isn't an attack on how the roleplays I've been doing, but on myself.
