immediately obsessed with the vibes of your work. Do you have any artists that inspire you? What is it about industrial/laboratory settings that inspires you?

Portal, Team Fortress, and Spy vs. Spy (2005) were all really formative to me at a young age. The way they portray laboratories scratched a certain itch for me, and in particular I think about how they balance scary and funny. Though I don't lean into it often, Limulid Labs is meant to be horror just as much as it is comedy.

More recently I became interested in Looney Tunes, which very much sources its own brand of comedy from 20th century America's industrialism and agricultural sector. Who Framed Roger Rabbit and its associated shorts are also required watching for this blog...!

Also, I've lived and worked in a lot partially industrial settings, and I try to draw from real life as much as possible.

Ceramic art is a whole nother chestnut, and I may talk about it if I ever finish the presentation I started... but it's seriously worth looking into South American ceramics, specifically that from the Nazca and Moche cultures. It's really beautiful and doesn't get as much attention as it should.

Anyway... for your entertainment here is a real image that I once tried to use to explain my art.
