You do realize the same fics that everyone always picks will be chosen for your list. anything by Kryptaria and Bootsnblossoms and so on. maybe look for those who dont have over 8 thousand hits. some of those are really wonderful.

Yes, we are aware that many of the fics submitted as recommendations are already tremendously popular, but we do also very much believe that, just because a story doesn’t have a huge number of notes or comments does not mean that it isn’t well written and generally worth reading. We make a point of actively seeking out quality works which have not had the same wide exposure as some works by the “big name” writers of this fandom.

However, if someone does submit an already popular fic, we are not going to ignore them. Those fics are popular for a reason, after all.

We welcome anyone and everyone to send us submissions - that means please, please feel free to send us your own work! A lot of people are shy about sending their own work, but it’s really a great way to get exposure and to help readers find fics that they might not otherwise have noticed.

On that note, nearly all of the Kyptaria and/or Bootsnblossoms fics which we have posted were submitted by Kryptaria, theirself. If someone (even someone already popular) is brave enough to submit their own work here (because, as I just explained, most people are not), then it would be incredibly rude and inconsiderate of us to ignore them. I will end the discussion on that there, though, as we generally avoid discussing specific writers at any length (we want to avoid causing or being part of any “drama”).

So, dear anon, rest assured that we do purposefully search for and post works which deserve far more attention than they are getting; that was the original purpose of this archive, and if you look through our past posts you will see that. A vast majority of the works we have recommended are (or were, at the time when we found and posted them) on the lesser-known side. If you feel that your own works deserve more exposure, then please, submit them and any other fics you would recommend!

Yes, we most definitely are! I (the primary mod) have had some terrible health problems this past year and have had to be on hiatus and everything jsut sort of came to a halt because of that, but I'm back now and I'm working on getting my other two mods back, too!
