Sunday, I had someone close to me say something that made me feel so unwanted. Those words echoed in my heart all night trying to shatter my peace. What made me cry was how easy his words took me back to the little girl who grew up heartbroken. I took the evening to remind my inner child that she’s loved and a genuine sweetheart. I told myself if that were to happen again to stand up to a comment like that. Remember to be kind to yourself. Keep going, even if you think your lagging behind. No one will get you out of a situation like yourself.
