Thursday, January 30th: Hello everyone, I’m Gemma and sincerely apologize to be asking for help again but, things have unfortunately gone from bad to worse and I still desperately need help.
As most of you are already aware, I have been struggling financially for quite some time due to my welfare benefits (U.C & Housing Benefit) being revoked, under the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And due to my mental health and some unfortunate DWP mess-ups, my benefits have been on and off sanctions for over a year now.
And in a previous post, I explained that I am waiting to receive the results of the medical assessment that I attended in late September through the DWP, the results should arrive this month. I am hoping that the medical will fix my benefits and offer me more assistance as I am unable to work due to my persistent low mood and extreme fatigue, I am also trying to apply for PIP/ESA.
So due to all of this, I am usually behind in bills and rent, and by behind, I mean drowning in red notices as I only get £128 per month and it isn’t enough to cover my rent and bills. This has made it incredibly difficult to survive each month, and with no income, I’ve been relying on the kindness of others to get by and I constantly have to decide on getting food or paying bills, leaving me in heavy debt.
Previous donations have gone to help me pay my rent and some of my most urgent bills. However, I still need help to pay my overdue bills from earlier and new ones due later in the week, and I also have groceries to get and it would really mean a lot to me if I could get some help. My goal is £300!!
If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody is obligated in any way to donate if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling.
