The Little Book of Big Babes Is Out! The Little Book of Big Babes is a fashion book featuring over 150 plus size individuals from all over the world. The book was put together by Rachelle Abellar in an effort to create space and much needed representation for fashionable fatties. I was completety floored and humbled to say the least, when I was asked to contribute to this project. I am honored to share space with all the amazing people in this book and inspired by every single one of them. My friend Jen from SKINNED KNEES , who is also featured in the book, had the awesome idea of doing our photos together. It was such a fun time! REPRESENTATION IS A POWERFUL THING! Call for Submissions: “Dear Fatty: Letters to My Younger Self”

“Dear Fatty: Letters to My Younger Self” will be a collection of letters, artwork, poetry, collages, and photography all related to your personal experiences growing up fat and advice you wish someone would’ve given you when you were younger.

Your written submissions can be as long or as short as you want

Please include a title for your submission

Please include any trigger warnings with your submissions

Artwork will need to be in black & white

Artwork can be no larger than 5.5” x 8.5” (portrait) and must be 300 dpi

Files accepted: JPG, PDF, TIFF, PNG, DOC, DOCX

Please send along your preferred display name, a short bio (1-2 sentences) about yourself, and any contact info you are comfortable sharing (email, tumblr, twitter, instagram, etc)

Submissions can be made anonymous (just let me know)

Submissions will be accepted until July 31, 2015. Please email them to [email protected] with the subject line “Dear Fatty.” If you have any questions or concerns about this zine, please do not hesitate to email me. If you know someone who you think would be a great fit, you’re more than welcome to direct them to this post.
