Our lives have always mattered!!!!
Black people….we are the chosen people of God just look at history. Throughout history the people of God have always been persecuted, beaten and mistreated. Look at ancient Egypt, look at The Middle East, just look across the world and across history. The only thing is we can’t see it because it is being smeared on sidewalks by those sworn to protect us and our focus have been divided.
What is it about our mere existence that makes us a target?
Is that our skin in all its shades and hues absorb the very light of the sun?
Is it the versatility of our hair that defies gravity?
Is It is the strength of our backs that has endured so much pain but somehow still find hope to persevere?
I really want to know what about me….you…..US that threatens your very existence? What threat do we possess that we are unaware of? and is the only way to isolate the threat is to irradiate it?
Man my heart hurts not only for the families who had to lay to rest sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers etc but for the children I must raise in this world someday. The children I have to teach how to live in a world that looks at you as a threat. A threat that wanted candy and a drink, a threat that wanted to promote their music, a threat that wanted clean water, a threat that never intended to be a threat.
Our lives have always mattered and our lives will always matter but we have to first accept that for ourselves and not for what is televised. Our ancestors fought and lost and now the fight has gotten harder because we now fight the media along with the many battles we were born with, an inherited right we had no consent about.
STAY STRONG MY BLACK PEOPLE!!!!!!!
AND REMEMBER WE LITERALLY ARE MADE UP OF STARS, SUNS, OCEANS AND MOONS SO BE THE MAGIC THAT WE ARE!!!!
