Oh, hello! Pardon my asking, but what year is this? Ah, 2014? Not exactly the most exciting year in history, however memorable enough. I made my tumblr page in 2014. Tumblr pages are cool. Anyhoo, I'm the Doctor. The Oncoming Storm. The last of the Time Lords. The— you don't look very impressed. I’m an alien from outer space, I’m 1000 years old, I’ve got two hearts — nothing? Well then. I've had many incarnations over the years, perhaps you've seen one of them? Judging by the look on your face — basically, no. Well, let me take you on an adventure then. All of time and space; everywhere and anywhere; every star that ever was. Where do you want to start? Independent Doctor RP. Will role-play any incarnation. Canon/Non-Canon/AU No smut of any sort, not very Doctor-like.

// Sorry about the inactivity like all week. I had some proms and graduations to attend. This has been one of the better years of my life. I got to teach at one of the finest school's in the world, and met these two wonderful people, Monsieur Brandon Babineau, and Mademoiselle Andrea Le. Together, we tore up the school as student teachers easing our way into our future careers. 

Finishing it all off with watching our students go to their prom, then get their diplomas. It was a bitter sweet feeling that we know we're going to have to get used to, but all in all, we survived it.

I wish all the best to the grads of 2014, party, but don't party too hard.

"Of course I like a good pint now and again. I have taste buds you know. Who doesn't like a cold brew after a long day of time travel?" He mused, taking the girls hand and leading her into the playhouse. "You think the cobble is nice, wait until you see inside here! One of the finest pieces of architecture America knows at this point."

At the girl's next comment, the Doctor crinkled his nose and let his shoulders slouch down. "Its a time machine, Joan. We could be gone for centuries and pop back in time for your meeting." He groaned.

"You helped write a book about a man that went around having it on with any women he saw?" Joan raised a brow. "And you know alot about that, hm?" She smirked then burst out laughing. "I guess even a thousand year old time lord has needs too." She teased as she looked around the streets. "Was London this bad?"

"London was nothing like this at this time. London was arguably at its best days. The world's largest navy, also the world's largest empire. London was a beasty compared to this place." He explained. "Perhaps we'll visit there next."

"W-Whoa!" She laughed as she was pulled into the lifting hug by bowtie wearing man as he spun her about. The brunette was entirely lost by why he was so happy considering that they had never met before, but she was just glad that he was happy at all. "W-What do you mean tinier and cuter?" She giggled out in the middle of the excitement.

"I mean you are tinier and cuter than you twenty years down the road." The Doctor explained, throwing his arms up in the air. "Say, Marlene. Do you like adventures?" The Doctor asked the girl, patting her once on the head.

Joan laughed then nudged into him playfully. “You can’t say things like that!” She grinned before looking over the building. “Don Juan?” She narrowed her eyes. “I don’t think I’ve ever read that…” She mumbled, looking down as she racked through her brain. “Nope…Never read it.” She whispered then looked over him. “You get around alot, don’t you?” She chuckled.

"The Tale of Don Juan; the ultimate lover. Now that man there, he was a dog. Slept with hundreds of women, and of course back then, there were no fears of the AIDS pandemics or anything. He lived the dream of every man and got paid to do so." The Doctor explained, awkwardly making motions here and there that even he was ashamed to be making. "And I suppose I do get around, but you say that like it's a bad thing! You get around too now you know! You will be making some significant changes in time alongside me!"

"Wallace. Marlene Eleanor Wallace." She replied a bit confused by the look on the Doctor’s face. It was something she hadn’t seen very often on adults, like realizing they had found something they lost a long time ago. "Well…its Wallace now. Daddy says it used to be something else cause before I wasn’t his little girl.”

"Marlene Wallace! My Marlene Wallace!" The Doctor exclaimed, wrapping her in a hug and lifting her up. "But you're so tiny! And young! And much cuter!" He continued on, spinning the little girl around. "This is absolutely amazing! My Marlene Wallace!"

"I don’t think so…but-" She returned entirely unfazed by his hands on her face considering the brunette was used to her Aunt always pinching her cheeks. But he had a point. So she reached mimicking him with one hand instead before shaking her head. "-you do seem kinda familiar. Like in a dream, but I don’t remember."

"In a dream..." The Doctor repeated. "Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant." He gushed, letting go of the girl's face. It was beginning to make sense. He didn't know too many Marlenes, let alone Marlenes that looked like his Marlene. She had to be his Marlene. "Tell me, young lady. What is your last name?"

"We’re on the outskirts of Edge right before we get into Midgar." She explained with a shrug to the stranger as she pointed out the two cities one behind her and the other desolate mangled mess in front of her. "Nice to meet you, Doctor!"

"Tell me, Marlene. Have we met before? You look rather familiar." The Doctor said, placing his hands on her cheeks and inspecting her face carefully. "Though I could just be getting old."

"I dunno! That’s the problem! No one wears bowties anymore so you’re definitely not from around here!" She giggled smiling up at him before sticking out her hand. "I’m Marlene! What’s your name?"

"Charmed, Marlene. I'm the Doctor." He said, taking the tiny hand in his own. "I suppose you're quite right. I'm not from this area. Where are we anyway?" He asked, taking a look around at their surroundings.

The Doctor crinkled his nose and looked down at the girl. "Oh? And just where do I look like I'm from?"

Joan nodded and licked her lips. “Let’s just hope none of them are extra intelligent and work out that I am just a uni student.” She said quietly. “Do they even have unis at this stage?” She asked, narrowing her eyes in thought. 

She nodded again at his words. “If you compare the way things are here to my time USA, it’s just gob smacking how different everyone was.”

"This is America, Joan. Intelligence was never invented here." The Doctor jested as he stopped in front of a large house in which he assumed to be the playhouse. "This is it, your majesty. The State Playhouse. Only the finest of men present here on a daily basis, and you are in luck, as I believe today they will be presenting the famous Don Juan. One of my favourites really, though, I am a bit bias. I did help write it." He said with a snap of his fingers, and a brush of his shoulder.

"Yes, but you said yourself. You die. Planets die. You change the future, you’ve molded and helped saved  history. You rewrite things." She argued back weakly but kept her ground as she stood in front of him not letting him move away with her son in his arms.

"And well…yes. He is the impossible boy, but it wasn’t exactly impossible so much as entirely improbable and it happening a second time is even more impossibly improbable! Now hand over my son, Doctor.”

- "That's because all of that is in my past now. Not in my future." He explained, placing the baby gently in his mother's care. "Time is kind of like a book. After you've read something, it is impossible to change. It is set in stone. It has to happen. However, you can manipulate things in the present days, you can manipulate a sentence, a word, and then suddenly a parallel timeline is opened, thus a different world. I can change the future in very minute ways, but I can never change what'd I've done. But I am the glue holding it all together, see," he continued, squashing his hands together and tying his fingers between each other. "If I go, the glue let's loose, and everything I've ever done, every star, every specimen I've ever saved dies, because it is as though I never existed. It's not rocket science; well, I lied, I suppose in this case it really is."

"In John's case, I could tell you everything that he is going to ever do in his life, because I have been there. I can tell you that he will live a successful and happy life, but if I tell you what he will be doing in his future, you have the opportunity to change that, and that, Miss Grayson, that I cannot allow. I vowed to never play god with you humans, and I never will. Honestly, it is such a pity to watch you wage war against each other. You are limitless; absolutely brilliant creatures. If you could stop shooting at each other for one moment, and stop classifying what is right and who can marry whom, then maybe you would open your eyes and realize that, but no, it's all about worrying about the future and the good of mankind."

"It makes me sick to watch you all burn yourself into the ground. It is absolute rubbish. But it is my curse as a timelord. The longer I watch, the longer you live."

He then directed his attention back to the child. "Pretty cool, eh Nestling? I am very cool. Unlike your mother here. She is not cool like me."

"Oh its not just me and Dick you’ll have to worry about.” The mother bear glared unamused with the Time Lord proclaiming her offspring as his companion. She had gotten vague details about previous ones. It didn’t end well.  “You’ll have the whole Justice League after you, his uncle Oliver and worst of all-“

"-the goddamned Batman is his grandfather. You’ve never dealt with protective grandfathers have you? Or Batman for that matter?" Continued the brunette as she got closer and closer to the man, fingers twitching at her side as hazel orbs flickered from the Gallifreyan to her son.

"Secondly. That’s impossible. Also yes! You are! A time lord!”

- "I'm not afraid of a bunch of spandex wearing richboys, Miss Grayson. Besides, I'm too precious. They would never do anything to me. And if they did, they'd have to keep in mind that I am a madman in a box. I die, every planet I've saved goes to how it would be had I never existed, which would be Earth around... A hundred times." He said wearing a keen smile. "Nothing is impossible, Marlene! I thought you of all people would know that. I am holding impossible in my hands right now, am I not?" He said motioning to John. "Was he not supposed to be impossible? Yet you are a mother. That's the world we live in. Even the most impossible things can become a reality if we want it bad enough."

"And I do not control the future, I just work there. Honestly, how daft are you?"

"Whoa-whoa hold up there mister messy hair bowtie!" Was the immediate response as the mother got up from the couch and immediately followed after the time lord across her home. He didn’t answer her question. Then he was trying to get her son to run away with him. Neither boded well with  the new mother.

"What do you mean another?! John was a lucky whoops!" The hiss sounded as she stood in front of him to keep him from moving forward with her baby. "I’m not even supposed to be able to have kids. None the less another one. And secondly, John isn’t going anywhere. He’s saying right here in the twenty-first century in 2014 with me and Dick."

- "I'd like to see you and your manchild try to stop me steal my Nestling away from me. Nothing could make me put him down, nothing! He is mine now." The Doctor said, bearing him protectively. "Isn't that right, Nestling? Who's a good mini timelord. You are. Yes, you are. Ah! Brilliant!" He rambled to the baby who just stared at him confused. 

At the mother's outburst, the Doctor couldn't help but laugh. "I mean exactly what I said. There will be another Grayson child. I don't know how, and I don't why. But just be prepared. Lord. Do you think I'm some kind of fortune teller or something? Some kind of time traveller?"

"Grayson. Its Grayson now. Not Wallace." She couldn’t help but happily correct with a roll of hazel orbs at seeing him interact with the littlest Grayson. He all the while was entirely enamored with the man carrying him. He was funny looking. Definitely different from Daddy and Uncle Oliver, not to mention the funny thing around his neck.

However as the baby continued to giggle and coo reaching up to tug at the bowtie and pat the man’s cheek did something click with the mother. Not the question posed to the baby of adventure, nor the assurance that he’d still be a hero. No. It was right between that.

"What do you mean there will be another?!?!?”

- "Yes, yes. Grayson. Mrs. Grayson. Congratulations. All the best. Wonderful. Don't care." The man said, not breaking contact with the child. "Really though, you would make an excellent companion. You would never complain, never argue; you'd be like a little servant-child. And you wouldn't know any better. I'd raise you right." He continued on, almost trying to persuade the child to ditch everything he had known in his short life and run off with him.

"Can you say "Doctor Who?", hm? Can ya? Try. Doc-tor. Who." He continued, squeezing the child's cheeks to make his mouth move. "Go ahead. Ask me. Doctor Who!" He continued on, avoiding the woman's question.

Joan laughed then linked arms with him. “We shall.” She murmured with a nod before she began to walk. “Do you have any idea is me acting like the queen will get us into the opera?” She asked, glancing up at him before widening her eyes. “What if we get arrested because I pretended to be the queen?”

"Well, if they try to arrest you, I'd suggest running. Though the Americas are at their early stages in development right now. The police force is scattered amongst two sides and the slave trade is at an all time high." The Doctor explained. "They couldn't tell the Queen from a university student. Which means you're in luck!" 

He continued to pull her along the booming streets, shops on either side of them. "You have to hand it to them though. They really did well for themselves since these times."
