And so 24h with the most fantastic people is over for this time! Our little Swedish fandom group had a hectic but oh so brilliant schedule with British cooking (fish and chips with various side dishes, breakfast fry up and scones. Also tea, but that’s hardly cocking…), arts and crafts with old and new projects (@sincerely-chaos made some progress on our Cluedo board), some fine culture with Granda Holmes, too much breakfast and mandatory chocolate goodness. We pondered over important things such as what side you would prefer in a “Sugar mummy/Arm candy” relationship, life choices, mental health and what it would be like to have a penis (or two…don’t ask…) Nothing’s to big or to small for our meetings ;) So, I had a brilliant time as always and I’m so greatful to have found this little group of people ❤
Weekend with @221b-sverige - watching, eating, crafting, dreaming, cooking and discussing.
This weekend the Swedish fandom explored new grounds; English cooking, inspired by fandom. Fish (or quorn) and chips, fry up (thank you @lockedinjohnlock-podfics, @green-violin-bow, @girlofthemirror, @snorklepie and @fromdipshittodoctor for all your answers about this; see result in the top left corner!), scones and Hobnobs. And tea. Let’s not forget the tea. Too much tea. And at the end, there was some rather un-English but 221b-sverige traditional cupcakes (kudos @johntheantivirus).
Fandom brought a load of awesome things into my life. These people is one of those things.

We are Swedes and therefore not accustomed to these very… filling breakfasts. We had to go back to bed in order to digest it all. That was alright, though, because I had fallen asleep before reading the customary good night fic, and post-breakfast fic worked very well…

In Sweden, a studiecirkel is a group of people who together educate themselves together on a chosen subject, and getting government funding for doing so.
Therefore, we have now applied to get government funding to discuss fanfic and do fanart. And hopefully do field trips.
Gotta love Sweden…

Fic Writers’ Retreat in Prague (or environs?) Anyone?
Ok. So, inspired by @doctornerdington‘s idea for a fic writers’ retreat in Toronto, a few of us on the other side of the pond have been thinking about planning one in Prague or its environs. Think: scheduled writing time, opportunities to offer and receive feedback and help with your projects from other participants, along with sightseeing, fun evenings out with other fic writers, etc.
Having lived in Prague for 11 years, and being familiar with things here in the Czech Republic, I have offered to coordinate such a thing, but I need to know:
Who is interested?
How many days should it be?
What kinds of activities/workshops/etc. would you like to see?
What times of year suit you?
Do you have any ideas for how to make it great?
Would you like to help in anyway?

I totally missed this post! I’m indeed interested. I’d also like to help of possible. When (as in “when in this/next year?”) would it most likely take place? For me, any time regret after summer would be optional, since it’s hard to change vacation days at work now that they’ve finally set the schedule. But I’m curious no matter when it will take place!
