I suppose a thread lile this is open to much discussion due to the difference in opinion from person to person. I would put the list as follows:

1. Higher beliefe of a "universal code of law" 2. Myself. 3. Life partner 4. Children 5. Everyone else

1. Everyone believes in something higher than themselves, even if that something is merely the laws of physics and the universe etc. Everything is held together by something that cannot be explained. 2. No one can know what's best for you. If you make your number one priority someone else, you will lose something, somewhere. At the very least, you will lose a part of true yourself. 3. Your life partner should come before your kids. You are raising (or should be raising) your kids to be independent and venture out. They will leave your home someday. Your partner however, should remain forever, but may not remain if he or she cannot even be a priority over your kids. You've made a decision to be with someone, now be with them, or end up a statistic.

The rest of the list seems pretty self explanitory. This is just my personal view on this.
