Here’s a teaser poster whatever for my short film I’m working on, “UP THE WOLVES.” Shot by @idmaccc and starring @taylorgraysen and @julianconner - it’s a weird one, but I’m proud of it and those I got to work on it with. Can’t wait to finish it and put it out.
SO, here’s my mini-documentary on one of my favorite critics/teachers in the Bay Area—Jesse Hawthorne Ficks. I am a very big supporter of teachers out there that try their best with not only how little their bosses give them, but, take it upon themselves to really immerse the students into what’s being taught. Whether it’s discussing the validity of Leni Reifenstahl’s films (spare me the lecture) or the impact of Frankenhooker on underground cinema. Each time I sit in one of his classes, it is damn near impossible to not be overcome with this urge to make a film. I’ve learned a lot about myself as a filmmaker and a person overall, because of him and how vulnerable he allows himself to be in front of rooms full of annoying 20yr olds (myself included, calm down). Check it out, I hope you dig it. Booker T.

Stills from my shoot yesterday. Fucking LOVE how it all turned out. My cinematographer, Dillon McEvoy, is a champion.

UPDATE: Auditions for my film 8% will be held on October 11th and October 13th from 9am-5pm. They will take place at 466 Townsend in San Francisco, CA. We are looking for predominantly Black actors and actresses, due to the fact that a majority of the characters are indeed Black. But there also roles being offered for those who are not Black, as well. If you are an actor or actress who can make the audition on those days, and can arrive promptly to the location of the audition, you are more than welcomed.
EDIT: A casting call specifying the roles and age restrictions will be released soon (which I will post here as well). If you have any questions regarding the audition, you can reach me at my email address: [email protected]
Again, don’t forget to spread the word. It’s only been 72 hours and we’re almost at $800!! Thank you for the support so far, it is much appreciated!

BIG NEWS: Next Monday I will be interviewed by Daniel Everett—host of “Folk Law” radio, a program that specializes in art, culture, and civil affairs. He has invited me to speak about 8% and what I would like to accomplish with the film. The program is on 88.1FM and the broadcast will be live...
Here it is, people! My Kickstarter page for the film that I’ve been writing for almost two years now. This is a film that deals with issues that mean dearly to me, and issues that unfortunately continue to effect the lives of minorities in America. I began to write this two days after the Trayvon Martin case came to an all too predictable conclusion. What I hope to portray on screen is the immense amount of disappointment and discontent I feel with the way a large part of the community continue to react to instances this case revolved around. Please, a share is just as important as a donation to me. I know I’ve taken many steps forward as a filmmaker and I’m excited to take this very personal story of mine and deliver it the appropriate way. Allow me to do so. Thank you!

Location scouting went incredible today! We found the reservation park we’ll need, as well as a great bar in San Francisco that will allow us to shoot inside their place. More locations have been locked down for my upcoming short film 8%—next week, we’re holding the first meeting with all of the department heads. Kickstarter campaign coming soon.
