100% Smoke-Free

I knew the smoke ban has been in implementation for quite a while now, but I never knew about this violation report service of the DOH.

Aside from this, the department has also put up a site dedicated to advocating for a 100% Smoke-Free Philippines.

Here, you can find documents relating to everything tobacco - the laws against it, factsheets, videos, and the smoking violation report form. The site makes it easier to identify violated laws by enumerating offenses under access restriction, advertisement ban, etc. for more specific reporting. You can even upload a photo to back up a report!

With its neat layout, interesting infographics, and friendly interface, the site seems to have a lot of potential when it comes to achieving its objective of bringing about awareness of this campaign.

It's then, rather disappointing to discover there's been a total of only 77 reports submitted and only 6,921 site visitors to date. Hopefully, with a bit more exposure, perhaps from social media (and other avenues), the site could eventually be used to its full potential.
