Love and Rockets. Biloxi, Mississippi i think. Or maybe, New Orleans. i dunno. Prolly the tour for their eponymous first LP. Went with my DJ friend Linda Jacobson who had gotten an interview with Daniel Ash. Were specifically told not to ask about Bauhaus, Daniel's infamous first band. But they had played "Bela Lugosi's Dead" at the sound check. And then during the interview Daniel brought up Bauhaus himself which fucked up Linda's head as she didn't know what she could say then. The interview was a bust anyway as Linda had forgotten to make sure she had good batteries in her tape recorder so all that made it to tape was a lot of tape hiss and a barely audible burble of unidentifiable voices. The interview had been ruined anyway to her line of thinking as Daniel Ash started doing shots of tequila with my first "husband" and they started singing some Dave Clark 5 song "Bits and Pieces" over and over again. Tim had also peeped thoroughly thru Daniel Ash's stuff in the bathroom. i am sure he was looking for drugs to steal, but he didn't find any. He was perfectly impressed with Mr. Ash's arsenal of hair care products and make-up. He said he had never seen that much in one place before in his life.
