A couple weeks have passed by. Mekhi and Alayah have finally moved in to their new apartment, it’s in the Hills, a great view of the city. Theirs was in the middle section, which was eight floors and surrounded by other apartments; they were on the sixth floor. The window structure had all the lighting, automatic curtains already available so they won’t be exposed to their neighbors. It was different for them both, but a beautiful start for their relationship. A new environment, not too far from their workplaces, and family and friends.

Chapter 17.2

Mekhi

Damn. Damn. Damn. Alayah is looking too bomb, not too casual, not too formal. Baby decided to match my style tonight, all black attire. Her t-shirt dress fit her perfectly, and the things I’ll do to her after this event are unexplainable. Just looking at her in either her natural or dressed up state, is always breathtaking. Makes a nigga feel good to have her on my arm.

“You just gonna stare at me all night, like I’m some sort of snack?” Alayah asked, perking her brow in amusement.

I licked my lips, chortling, giving her a once over again. “You a whole meal, baby, so imma look all I want to.” I admitted, and it ain’t even on no thirsty shit, she’s a sight to see. An angel.

Chapter 17.1

Alayah

Tick, tock. Tick, tock.

That’s all I heard throughout the dark room; the only light illuminating came from the moon that peaked through the curtains in my room.

Life has been a whirlwind as of late. Dante has somehow got my new number, and doesn’t know how to act; I might just have to get a restraining order against him, but he hasn’t done any harm towards me as of yet. I’m praying that nothing drastic happens to where it leads to that, people should know their boundaries….but this is Dante we’re talking about, he has no boundaries. Releasing an exasperated breath, I tried to think of other possible scenarios, but nothing has lit up inside of my brain. Blowing out a breath, it feels like I have to watch my every move now; Dante knows my place of work, where I live, and now has my new number….when did it all become so bad? I’m not sure, but there’s never a long-lasting calm in my life, and I honestly think moving out and finding a new place to live will have to be the next option.
