personality tests piss me by pitting logic vs emotions against each other like they’re not related and let me explain it to you.

imagine you live in a world with ONLY one way streets—all streets only go right. to make “a left,” you’d really need to take 3 rights.

yes, the fastest way to make ‘a left’ would simply be to turn left. but, because they’re all one way streets, you’d undoubtably disturb the flow of traffic and likely get into an accident. and what if someone was following you? then THEY’D get in an accident too. maybe someone calls the cops on you for being a reckless driver. so, you learn to take 3 rights.

logic is the same. sure, the most logical thing to do would be to tell the truth how it is, or whatever ridiculous example they love to provide. but if you want things done TRULY efficiently, you need to follow the flow of traffic in a way that everyone understands. if you want to effectively share feedback, you need to keep emotions in mind so that it can be received properly. UGH!
