Hi, are you opened to making a leotrey drabble which is just Leona and Trey having a picnic date?
ofc!! I will always love a little leotrey hehe
Classes had already ended a few hours ago, though Leona was still in deep slumber in the conservatory, hidden between some bushes just a few steps away from the path. Impending footsteps made him stir, though he didn't bother opening his eyes until he heard the sound of a rustling bush. He was smelling something sweet, jumping back when he saw Trey of all people sitting next to him.
"Woah, woah, relax! I didn't mean to scare you!" Trey waved his hands in a placating manner, as if fearing for his life at the thought of angering Leona. Leona, however, regained his composure and lazed back again, frowning. Trey had a stupid grin on his stupid face and some kind of picnic basket in his lap.
"What do you want?" he grumbled, wiping away the sleep from his eyes.
"I brought you some food. I made too many meat pies and figured you might want some. Then I realized I haven't eaten since lunch, so I thought we could share. Unless you just want to take the food and tell me to screw off. I won't be offended if you do," he shrugged, opening the basket and pulling out a small pile of little meat pies wrapped in a linen cloth. He took one off the top and passed it to Leona, who tentatively took a bite. The pastry was light, buttery, and flaky with a nice crisp quality, while the minced meat inside was tender and well-seasoned. There were carrots, peas, and onions mixed into the meat, though it was surprisingly tolerable, as they were cut small enough to where they didn't affect the texture of the meat all that much. He nodded gruffly in approval as he took another bite, savoring the flavor. It wasn't until he had started eating that he realized he also hadn't eaten in several hours.
"…Thanks, herbivore," he finally muttered, sitting up a bit. "You can stay if you want. You should probably eat something sooner than later."
"I appreciate it," Trey said, his shoulders slumping a bit in relief as he took a meat pie for himself. "These are always a favorite hors d'oeuvres at unbirthday parties. We have one coming up in a few days and I was prepping, but I accidentally made a bit too much."
"Are you sure that's not an excuse for some ulterior motive?" Leona teased, reaching for another pie.
"And what kind of ulterior motive would I have?"
"I don't know, I can't read your mind. I wouldn't want to, anyways. Who knows what kind of odd shit you come up with in there?"
"That's fair," he mused, taking another bite of the pie in his hand. He watched as Leona ate his second pie with a bit more fervor than the last one and couldn't help but smile. There was something so satisfying to Trey about watching people enjoy his food. "Do you like the pies?"
"Tch. Fishing for compliments? I didn't think you'd be the type," Leona scoffed, finishing his second pie.
"Hey, I wasn't- I just wanted some feedback is all!" Trey seemed a bit flustered by the accusation, which Leona found almost endearing.
"Would I be reaching for a third pie if I didn't like them?"
"I guess not." Trey sighed defeatedly, shaking his head.
