One of my favorite and most personal pieces is “Herbs to Heal, Lilies to Mourn”. It deals with love, loss, the pains of optimism, and the ways we attempt to shield ourselves from the sometimes possible - but most often times inevitable - forces that move the ones that we love the most out of our lives metaphorically or literally; always desperately hoping for the best, but silently, secretively planning for the worst. Shower the people that you care about with love, compassion, empathy, and support; as painful as it is, you won’t have them forever.
