"Wait so whose party is it again?" Luke asks for the 10th time that night. You sighed, as Luke held your coat out for you, slipping it on you.
"Honestly Luke!" You muttered "Its my dad’s business partners sons, he just graduated"
"Okay" He says "I think I’ve got it now"
You lock up the flat before making your way out to Luke’s car.
"He’s called Damien, he’s quiet so don’t be surprised if he acts shy" Luke nods as you start to direct him to the house.
"How many people are gonna be there?" He looks over at you for a second and you see he has a nervous look on his face. You place your hand over his on the gearshift, smiling.
"Not too many" You reassure him "Four or Five families with a few family friends here and there".
Luke pulls upto the house and you see a good amount of cars surrounding the house.
"Seems like a lot to me" Luke mumbles as you both hop out of the car. You grab his hand, smiling up at him as he interlocked your fingers.
"Don’t be nervous" You say "My family love you, don’t they? If in doubt just talk to them"
You arrive at the door and are soon greeted by Damien’s father.
"Y/N!" He grinned, reaching out and giving you a hug "I haven’t seen you for so long!"
"Yeah" You smiled, withdrawing from the hug, and lacing your fingers with Luke’s again. "This is Luke, my boyfriend"
"Nice to meet you!" Damien’s dad smiles and shakes Luke’s hand. "Y/N’s mum told me so much about you!"
Luke seems to relax a little after realising how friendly Damien’s family are. From across the room you see him telling one of Damien’s cousins a story from the road.
"Y/N?" You hear from behind you. You spin around and your eyes widen.
Damien’s little brother, who was just under a year older than you, stood at the doorway, grinning.
"Kyle! Hey!" You smile politely, hoping you wouldn’t have to talk to him long. Kyle and you sort-of had a thing a few years back.
He whistled, looking up and down your body.
"Man, Y/N, you have changed" He smirked, and you shifted uncomfortably.
"I guess so" you muttered
"Guess I should’ve waited to see what you would become" He said, reminding you of how your small fling ended, he pretty much told you that he found someone "better", and that was it. Surprisingly, you weren’t as heartbroken as you thought you would be after a break up.
"Hey!" Luke unawaringly cut you off, popping up next to you, grinning.
"Hi!" You smiled up at him, his eyes shifted to next to you. You followed his gaze and met eyes with Kyle, who winked at you.
You turned back to Luke who seemed to catch the gesture as his smile had dropped and he looked at you both in confusion.
"Oh, Luke, This is Kyle, Damien’s younger brother" You gestured to Kyle who nodded at Luke politely. Luke mimicked his gesture and looked expectantly at you.
"Kyle, this is Luke, my-"
"Boyfriend" Luke, intentionally this time, finished for me, swinging his arm around my waist.
"Ah” Kyle said, clearly noticing Luke’s hand that was stroking my waist gently. “The one in the band, right?”
Yeah” Luke said simply, and you felt the tension begin to rise. “5 Seconds of Summer” He added, and you can tell he did it because he didn’t want to appear rude.
Kyle opens his mouth but your mum comes over towards us, Grabbing Luke for a hug, stating how it has been “so long!”. The place on your hipbone where Luke’s hand rested could now breathe as you turned back to Kyle.
"Just think Y/N” He said in a hushed tone, yet you notice Luke turn towards him slightly as your mother chatters on to him. “The boy you use to pine for, wants you” He takes a step closer towards you, smirking.
Luke completely turns away from your mother, his arm hooking around you and pulling you close to him. He connects his hands together right at the end of your spine, and leans down towards you, his soft lips slowly pecking yours. He smiles at you as you lips detach by a mere few inches before looking at who you presumed was Kyle, as his eyes lingered behind you and his expression screamed smugness.
"Love you” He mutters into your lips as he give you a longer kiss now.
