i think i'm literally just posting these as an excuse to ramble and i'm a little drunk sorry! but not really sorry

this is my guy. he's this powerhungry cosmic wizard who is NOT a literal star but it's easy for me to think of him in terms of an insatiable stellar object like a red giant or supergiant that wants to become a neutron star. addicted to momentum and power and transcendence and really he is crazy in the head, he is out of his mind. i cannot explain his plan or logic or reasoning behind it. but i think he wants to outlive all other stars or something, to be the last one standing even if he cannot survive the heat death itself. like he rushes through the evolutionary cycle of stars by trying to gain as much power as possible. but i think he exists on a vast timescale. lots of things i still haven't pinned down, but these r just the vibes.

i think he gains power in part from authority and devotion. i imagine him as like some sort of "false solar deity", hijacking, making people worship him. but really he's just some guy. immensily powerful and functionally immortal guy that can bend reality around him to his will (tho NOT omnipotent he's just an ascended gigawizard), but he was once a being of just flesh and blood, or whatever equivalent alien components he's made up of. an uncountably long time ago. entirely unrecognizable and probably forgotten.

also if you know his name from back in the day: no you don't! my teenage self's naming convention does not hold up to my present self's scrutiny. i dont fw it at all in fact, even if i am sad to let it go. his old name looked cool as hell. but really i just call him star guy until i come up with something better. he's my star guy. and he's survived the project he originally belonged to, one that i've sinced gotten entirely bored of and abandoned.

i too am infatuated with neutron stars in all forms. so i ended up with this megalomaniac character i can actually relate to. or empathize with, maybe. or FEEL in some sort of way idk. the momentum. raw distilled compressed energy. pulsars so rapid they become a single held tone. not that i want to collapse and die myself but it is intoxicating to think about. those fucking things can spin so fast it's crazy. imagine just spinning, spinning, faster, faster, eventually it would be meaningless to an observer like you or me, just a blur. but not to him.
