HAPPENING NOW: Vance Airmen and civilians shelter in place and stay low to the ground as part of a base wide exercise this morning. Exercise Scarlet Hawk 16-01 is underway to test Team Vance's response to severe weather.
Check out Tom Moody from Moody Q BBQ making magic on base today! Look for their culinary wizardry on wheels Wednesdays in the 8th and 33rd FTS building parking lot from 10:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In a cooperation between #aafes and Team Vance, loclaly-owned Moody Q BBQ slinging meaty goodness marked the return of lunch trucks to Vance AFB.
MOMENTS AGO: Airman Leadership School Class 16-B is working on their retreat ceremony. With cooperation from Altus AFB, Vance has been hosting ALS classes for more than a year.
Check out the new lunch menu over at the Vance Club!!! A Bacon-Nator? Don’t mind if we do :P
Wait, tonight’s SIGMO meal didn’t make itself?? ;) Thanks to 1st Lt. Brent Eberle and all of the eight ballers from the 8th FTS who fed our base this evening. The potato salad was 100.
SIGMOs are monthly meals sponsored by the chaplain and prepared by a squadron to serve single Airmen, families of deployed Airmen and the greater Vance community.
