      The symmetry and dissymmetry of Spirale is quite astounding ,   whereas 9S has yet to decide on the functionality level of transport since the trip is his first time experience when he decides on what neighbouring town he should go to ,   based on basic randomised calculations of probability.   So he finds himself figuring a way to   GOLDEN WARD   ,   where a strange village has caught his attention.   There has been so many things to manage regarding his untimely and unintentional arrival in this city ,   but he feels like he’s going to break into   HAYWIRE   if he doesn’t   go out there .    

      It’s not like it should be considered as a bad thing ,   since the instinct for   CURIOSITY   has led 9S’ missions to be fruitful ;   and as much as he already weighed the pros and cons ,   he leans towards more to sating his programming to   SEEK ANSWERS   and   QUESTION .   So many places provide both to stimulate his natural penchant for investigating ,   so little time.

      Since Spirale’s systems are either pretty strong or his gear is hopelessly out for the moment for reasons unknown ,   9S ponders on his self - directed initiative when he slows down to check where he is.   Streets and trails overwhelm senses ,   taking a step into conquering his goals for the day.

HEADCANON. of visors and visions :: a discussion on 9S’ “blindness” by YoRHa’s “blindfold”

      ‘ See no evil ’ ---   is an allusion for android units who engaged with what they perceive machines in similarity with   evil   ,   a human term synonymous with hostile threats to YoRHa’s goals.   An allusion taking form of   VISORS   mandatory and dutifully worn by every soldier sent to the battlefield ,   whereas operators conceive   VEILS.    In accordance to canon material ,   a standard YoRHa visor resembles a blindfold where mainly Heads Up Displays (HUD) ,   maps ,   system menus ,   and communication from control are transmitted onto an android’s line of sight.

      Depending on what ending is portrayed ,   9S have his own reasons to defy this order and take his visor off for an amount of time of his own chosen frequencies ---   all reasons having common grounds of his   freedom   to choose and his acknowledgement to finally and  rightfully  exercise his   free will.   Regarding post - game ending portrayals in Isolan Universe ,  he usually lets the visor stay on during missions and risky situations ,   but mostly settles comfortably with removal of this metaphorical blindness by physical means so he can blend well into his new environment by posing as a human both for fun or if needing cover ,   and to just simply replicate the sense of   BELONGING   to a world he’s never really built for.

      The phenomena placing himself in this situation has damaged him more than he could ever assess.  Or couldn’t ,   since after he has regained consciousness ,   9S has to rely   blindly   on introductions and instructions he tried to fight   resisting  ---   ever since he realised that he had always been a free man from the date he’s been manufactured ,   he always had the choice but the knowledge of having the   POWER   for self - autonomy has been stripped from his code.  Androids do not grow ,   but 9S deeply believes they can   EVOLVE. 

      Yet it confuses him that to move forward ,   he’s going backwards as    DEVOLUTION   degraded his functions and limited   BEST OPTIMISED PERFORMANCE  .    The extent of having to resort to traditional ways of gathering information ---  from these   ‘ HUMAN ENTITIES ’   and recorded archives ---   serve as proof to his inability to maximise his advanced technological capabilities.   Whatever happened to him did not affect only his situation ,   but as well as his status.

          VIRUS UNDETECTED ,  TO CONFIRM ...  LOGICAL PROCEEDINGS ,  STILL LOADING ...   Kinda hard to manage his destabilising ,   fickle system processes when even his Tactical Support Unit is nowhere to be found.  

                ‟    This doesn’t look good... ❜       Mutter under his breath ,   as he ponders the severity of how   screwed  he is ,   in human terms.   Ironically ,   9S is short to accepting metaphors turned physical frustrations while he steadies his steel nerves and attempt   HACKING   Spirale University’s library system.          ‟    If ever ,  this will take me ages ... ! ❜

      Androids are creatures unabiding to   habits  .   From manufacture date ,   they are expected to follow their  programming  of serving their purpose for the   GLORY TO MANKIND ,   engraved command remembered in the back of his head ,  familiar fine motor movement for gloved fingertips to meet eyebrows ---   MAJOR RESPONSE: RETURN GREETING ,  SALUTE ,  VOCALS TO EMULATE ‘ PASSION ’.  Still proves difficult to stray from what he is literally built for ,   even after picking up own mannerisms and behavioural patterns akin to fulfilling a sense of contentment ---   he’d argue it close to happiness   ---   9S figures to take it slow into accustoming himself to a world where humans actually   existed   and to straighten logical processes    ... NOT FULLY OPERATIONAL ...  messed up by an ambiguous physical transfer to a stranger place than he’d been before.

      Presence detected nearby ,   he returns his visor back to his sight ,   tearing away from the flora the   [ SAVIOR’S RESPITE ]   provided as he lets out an airy greeting ,
