Hello Mara

Hello beautiful people. It’s been along time since I’ve posted on here. Today we’re going to look at my current hairstyle: a pixie cut wig C/O of Sensationnel.  I and a few bloggers from Toronto had the pleasure of attending  CloreBeauty   customer appreciation event a few weeks ago. Clorebeauty and with the help of the Sensationnel team  hosted two customer appreciation events at their Scarborough and Brampton stores to celebrate the launch of the new Empire human hair .

The event was amazing, tons of hair and prizes were distributed. We had a chance to meet the amazing ladies from Sensationnel. They gifted each blogger with a 100 gift voucher towards the Empire Hair Line. I used mine on 4 packs of 10 inch empire weave and this beautiful MARA wig

If you want hair that would last forever I recommend Sensationnel empire human hair. Sensationnel offers a wide range hair and wigs in their Empire line, like this Mara wig. If you are looking for a short, natural-looking, little to no maintenance wig; MARA  is a great option.  The hair is soft and true to length. The wig is constructed very well and easy to slip on.

Sidenote: Before you purchase this Mara wig, make sure to try it on first. I had to do a little adjustment to fit my facial frame. I might add a extra layer of hair to the front for a more fuller bangs.

Melanin Thursday : Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita has landed another Vogue cover  and it`s amazing. The Star Wars actress got to sample fall 2016 couture collections and talks about fashion, family and life in Hollywood.

National Thrift Shop Day

If you love saving and bargaining then this day is for you.  National thrifting day???.You heard right! there is an actual date set aside for thrifters to  shop and save more on already discounted items.

National Thrift Shop Day starts on August 17. In observance both Savers and Salvation Army are offering deals on clothing, shoes, household items, books and furnitures. 

Shoppers are encouraged  to show off their finds on social media by using the hashtag #Thriftshopday. Presale for Savers club card members starts on Sunday August 16, 2015.Visit thriftstore.ca and valuevillage.com for store hours and location.

I love all things Solange Knowles; from her music to her superb fashion sense. I  have been drooling over her new collaboration with Puma all through the week. African Fashion Week Toronto 2015

It’s that time of the year again! What time is it you asked? The 2015 African Fashion Week. This years fashion week will be held in Toronto as it  has always been. I am looking forward to this years event as it will be my first time attending. Not  only does African Fashion Week support local and international designers; they also facilitates internships, mentoring and career programs to support growth and advancement within the global fashion industry.

About African Fashion Week

African Fashion Week Toronto (AFWT) is one of the most recognized fashion weeks in Canada. The program was established by the Fashion Ready Foundation in 2012 and has developed into a nationally recognized event. AFWT continues to grow each season, creating a community of designers, models and industry professionals who shape this unique experience.
