AnimalCollective Underwater @Prospect Park

dance off w/my nyc family = ))) soo much fun + piggyback rides on JC !

design > underwater theme using classic theater stage set techniques. blue waves swaying & building to the music. a sea monster rising through the plyboard cut waves, glow in the dark sea creatures painted on the waves

lighting > jelly fish lanterns made of bright neon cellaphane paper

interactive > props for the crowds - tossed clear beach balls w/ glow sticks inside them

tech > 2 massive led screens displaying bubbles & silhouettes of sea animals & other abstract noise

audience > entertaining crowd watching - a mashup of hippy hipster nuevo raver sprinkled w/ animal masks & random old timers all interpretive dancing together.

sound > once again the sound was not so good or loud.

TVOTR Phoning It In @Prospect Park BandShell

had fun, i heart u guys. it was a kinda mellow show. and ya'll kinda phoned it in, not much improvising, straight played track after track. still a good time hanging w/ my peoples.

design > simple stage set a massive patchwork quilt as a back drop & lighting 

crowd > was unexpected at least where i was standing (center stage infront of sound guys)

sound > only criticism was the sound guys didn’t really know your music or it might be the general sound quality, not sure, either way, the music was a little flat & bass heavy. 

my peoples > dr. jones, em vanderveen, alici, c-bird, JC, pushaudio & Shnu. aahyeah !
