as per usual i am offline and unavailable because i am busy doing super cool things in my real life, but aros i promise you are not being forgotten. in case youre wondering what im up to:

volunteer and affinity group leader at a local queer community center

volunteer and affinity group leader for my university’s queer programming (sogie)

executive board member for my university’s student org

starting a local chapter of DREAM, a disability student org that centers both advocacy and recognition

fighting with facilities to open the elevator and unlock the doors so wheelchair users can access campus

creating a proposal with facilities and investigating money sources to determine how we can add building signage at accessible/inaccessible entrances

creating a social media challenge for important people on campus (president, dean of students) to attempt going about their daily life on campus, with a few bonus challenges, in a wheelchair- and coordinating with them ahead of time so they know and will accept

organizing a queer teach in and also being a guest speaker at this teach in

(im going to be teaching on disability and queerness and amatonormativity and its impacts, so i can divide my time)

joining the speech team because in 1.2 semesters ive somehow been a speaker 3 times for campus events

actually going go classes lol! im taking classes in: workplace DEI, chronic illness, intercultural communication (*centered on uplifting minorities), disability advocacy, asl, hebrew bible & cultural context, justice studies (comics), theatre costuming

and potentially more lol its only been like a week.

Some aardvark propaganda: Aardvarks are one of our older community symbols, having been a symbol back in 2011. They were used in advice animal memes to represent aromantics and one of the more popular aromantic blogs around that time was aromanticaardvark (aromanticaardvark’s blog was actually linked on the NCAV website back in 2011. For those unfamiliar, NCAV gave us our first aromantic flag design and was one of the first major sources of aromantic information and resources outside the asexual community.) the bracket is done!!! sorry it doesn't look that good i swear i tried also i will be accepting complaints in my asks about it (mainly because i included some things instead of others and maybe it was the wrong decision) today only so if you're reading this march 18th 2023 or later, it's too late to complain! Hey i want to send a big shout out to everyone who uses older aspec terminology. shoutout to people who use zed instead of allo, who still primarily describe themselves as partnering or non partnering or favorable. shoutout to using nonsam and not making the jump to the newer similar terms. shout out to people who dont keep up with all the latest identities and labels. shoutout to they people who are still using greyspec and who are helping keep where we came from alive. its super cool that you keep doing that and i cant wait for younger people to find out about their options because those terms and phrases are still being used.
