I miss character songs so damn much man, a bygone piece of media that was so much fun and added some cute extra content along with an anime...

Listening to Ouran's character songs reminded me how cute they are and how we just don't get shit like this anymore. No more fillers, no more drama CD's, no more fun extra content....honestly, it's another reason why being engaged in fandom is so boring now, we just don't get anything to keep being engaged WITH.

Been reading the Zukka fic Real Enough to Get Me Through and man is it good but fuck is it hitting WAY too close to home that it's kicking my entire ass to get to the last chapter posted...and the fact it ends at 15/16 chapters adds a special kind of pain.

I'm kinda hoping this OP chapter is a huge misdirect. Luffy, Zoro AND Sanji all having all 3 types of haki is so predictable and boring honestly, when so many of the other Straw Hats don't even have ONE fucking form of it.

Like Robin should absolutely have Armament Haki, the fact that she doesn't is pure bullshit. Usopp only having Observation Haki is also suspect as fuck to me, I'm still holding out hope he's the other member with Conqueror's Haki, and if not him I need it to be Nami!

I honestly have no idea where Oda is even headed with this arc at this point. I'm invested as always, but we're reaching the point in a long arc where shit is so stalled it feels like nothing of importance is happening. But I KNOW there will be payoff and I just have to be patient...this is what being a OP fan 29 years in is all about. Patience.

If it turns out this is not a misdirect and the Monster Trio get all the Haki forms, it's just going to make all their fights all that more uninteresting. Like I don't give a fuck about Luffy and Zoro's fights anymore because they're incredibly stupid, but at least Luffy's fights are fun stupid, Zoro's are just a power wank fest. Pushing that on Sanji too will just make his fights equally uninteresting IMO.

It needs to be someone else, it's bad enough the other members are doing fuck all right now too, like Oda has no fucking idea what to do with half the crew every arc now so giving the main 3 fighters ALL of the power would just make them even more pointless if we're going to spend more and more chapters on fights, like please! I want to trust! I want to believe!

Every time we get a look into Brook's past, it's devastating shit.

The fact that he hasn't broken...man I dunno, I guess that's a testament of love, honestly. A single promise to a friend, even if that friend is a whale, to keep your soul around when life beats you into a literal skeleton, but now you have a found family and continue to find new reasons to keep living.

One Piece is so hopecore, I just love it so much.
