Being kind towards ourselves or loving our-self is challenging. We often try to get through by avoiding it is many ways, one of the famous and widely used excuse is “I don’t have time for this, got better things to do”.
My dear friend, there is nothing better than having a connection with our-self, having a connection with our mind, body and soul, is the most healthiest relationship you can form. Having a relationship with our mind let’s you grow in many direction, it makes you aware about your channeling of thoughts, judgments, beliefs, values, orientations you have had since these years. Nourishing this relationship will let you bloom in many other ways, it will let you accept your appearance, your fragrance, your bodily requirements, your boundaries, it will help you boost your self-growth and your self-development.
Give 10-20 mins. in a day to yourself, in these minutes just sit and observe yourself. Here, you have to be a observer, you have to think about your thoughts (why am i doing this? when will this end? there will be no output from this!) doesn’t matter what type or pattern of thoughts you are holding, just observe your thoughts, let them flow in any direction, let them be abstract. You might feel like quitting at this point (because i felt like!) but you have to hold this role of being a observer.
As the time passes on, you will feel wonderful and fresh, you will have so many thoughts and probably no thoughts, probably you won’t be thinking of anything. Later, to this 10 mins of observation about our-self, give another 5-10 mins for reflecting these thoughts, put them down in a journal, have a look at them, see how did it go, what did you felt during this exercise, and how are you feeling now?
