Summer: How goes it stud???
Aaron: Fine. You?
TEXT || GRUMPS.
Madisyn: You sure?! Can't knock it, till you try it!! Hoe do you think I realized I hated pineapple on pizza? Because I knocked it.
Aaron: Yeah, I'm sure.
TEXT || GRUMPS.
Madisyn: C'mon!! You work too much and have too much seriousness in your body! We don't even have to go far, just wherever the road decides to take us. It's the best kind of adventure.
Aaron: You should ask your friend. I'll be the last resort if you need someone to go with you.
I liked that about her. She was unpredictable. Sometimes the things she said and did were surprising. Sometimes they disturbed me. But she was exciting, and that’s what I liked most. She was so many, many things but she was never once boring.

Madisyn: My body is itching for an adventure and I want a buddy!!
Madisyn: I can ask Sarah if you're busy, though.
Aaron: There's nothing I have to do that I can't do over the phone, but I'm not much of an adventurer.

Madisyn: How's your schedule looking at this very moment until Sunday?!
Aaron: Why?
scvannahevans:
“I’m not a fucking child!” Rage echoed from her raised voice as her eyes began to tear up and her body began to feel weak. Losing control wasn’t something Savannah was able to take lightly – at least not at a time like this. She had to make her father look after the twins for weeks, causing her to be alone in her damned apartment, counting down the hours until she had to find the courage to get out of the door and if she was being honest, she had to talk herself into going to Aarons for a full week, taking ten steps closer every day before bolting it back to her own basement apartment. “I’m not a fucking rat. I’m not an idiot that’s not going to pay you. I’m not going to —- I’m fine!” It was then, in that very moment that it was clear her meltdown was about something else, tears streaming down her face as she pushed against the leaders chest with shaking hands. “I’m —- not a fucking child! I’m not — I’m a person! I’m a fucking person — I don’t —- I’m f—ine!” She stuttered between sobs, images flashing before her eyes as she managed to let her small body crash onto the floor, the much needed breakdown taking over.
Aaron looked on passively while Savannah slowly started losing it, not moving much at all when she started pushing at him. Maybe he would have caught her if he had realized that she was going to hit the floor—either way, he didn’t and his mouth screwed up a bit in displeasure while she sobbed. Instead of saying anything or trying to offer comfort, he backed up a bit to give the both of them space, her because she was sobbing and him because he wasn’t sure what to do with so much emotion coming off of one person. “Do I need to call Chris or Rio?” He asked after a minute. He wasn’t about to call his ex and he doubted Viola cared much anyway.
scvannahevans:
“I don’t care,” she hissed between words as her small arms crossed in front of her chest. Egging on the male was only going to make situations worse, but part of Savannah didn’t even care if things got worse for her, that part of her didn’t even believe things could get worse from where she was now. “Why? Because I’m damn well tired of being treated like a child. Tragedies happen every fuckin’ day, but no, apparently when something happens to me, I’m coddled. I have Rio texting me up the fucking ass every five seconds to see if I’m okay, I got Chris monitoring my every damned move and Viola asking me if I’m even okay to go back to work when I’m five feet in the door. So that’s why I’m arguing and that’s why I want to be treated like every other damn member of this gang.”
His brows furrowed and his expression settled into what was vaguely a scowl. “Because that’s what you are, Savannah. A child. I can treat you like the peddler that tried to make off with my money—shame he won’t be able to walk. I can treat you like Richie, the one that threatened to get the cops involved if I didn’t let him go with a blank slate.” He shrugged leisurely. “I’m not sure where he is, but I know where his wife works. I know where his kids go to school. I know where his sister lives.” Each sentence was punctuated with a few steps, advancing steadily on Savannah. “So if I tell you not to worry, you’re not going to worry.”
scvannahevans:
“Fuck that,” she said with a raise in her voice the moment she was told that things would be put into the future, instantly feeling as though he was babying her just like the rest of the people around her. Anger radiated off the smaller woman, despite her state of mind, she was dedicated to feeling as though she was in control, knowing that the moment she let the past incidents come clear in her mind that control would be the last thing she had. “Give the fucking numbers, Aaron. Stop treating me like a child and give me the numbers and a deadline.”
Hands shoved in his pockets, Aaron’s bored but neutral look shifted into something a bit more irritated. “I’m letting you out,” he answered, calm and even. “You owe me. Trust me, that won’t just go away. When someone tells you you don’t have to pay them back right now, why argue?” She was angry and he could tell, but he kept his own temper under control.
scvannahevans:
“I quit,” she muttered quietly, the words echoing around the pair as she stood in front of him, refusing to sit anywhere in his place. She had to have been at least a few hundreds in debt with the gang leader, but instead of being able to pay him, she was standing there with irritated and bloodshot eyes, with a mess of a bun for hair that hadn’t been washed for probably a week because of her inability to even think of seeing herself naked and her body covered with such baggy clothing that if it didn’t sag, she’d look as though she weighed a few hundred pounds. “I’ll —- figure out how to pay you back, just — give me the number and I’ll get it to you as soon as I can, I promise.” // @aaron-abrams
If he was being honest, Aaron had expected this—he’d expected it sooner, but he still expected it. Under any other circumstances, he would have pointed out that it wasn’t as easy as quitting, that he wasn’t about to make it as easy as just quitting, but Savannah looked worse for wear and he could get into it later. “Don’t worry about paying me back yet,” he grunted with a dismissive flick of his hand, shooting a brief look at his phone was a second before getting up. “We’ll talk it over in the future. Right now, forget it.”
madisynoakland:
“Never know,” she muttered with a small tease before letting her lips turn up into a bright smile, watching as the elder male flipped through the photos slowly, as though he was actually looking rather than saying he was going to look. Jumping up at the question, Madisyn tucked her legs underneath herself before letting her hands fall on her lap, hoping they wouldn’t fly around while she talked. “Oh — goodness, the weather! I was like the most amazing time to go, it wasn’t too cold but it wasn’t too hot. And the food — Aaron, you don’t even understand how amazing the food is when you’re at the actual place. So much better than lowsy take out from some greasy place downtown! Everyone was so nice, too! They helped me with where to go and what to see, and they were just so happy and my goodness, I think it’s in this pile — yes! Yes, stop! That photo right now is Lake Toba, it’s a lake that’s basically formed over a volcano that erupted thousands of years ago! It was so warm and the sun hit the water so nicely, it was great!”
Letting out an amused little huff when the first thing that Madisyn mentioned was the weather, Aaron stayed focused on the pictures even if his attention was divided between them and his friend. “Greasy food is still good,” he half-joked under his breath, not wanting to interrupt her while she was talking. The second she said stop, he did so with curiously furrowed brows, bringing the picture in question up just a bit closer to get a better look at it. “Lake over a volcano?” He echoed. Though he didn’t have much interest in traveling, especially when he had business in his home to attend to constantly, Aaron did concede that something like that sounded interesting. “Never heard of something like that before.”
madisynoakland:
“That’s the point, that way if I end up dying early, at least I saw the world,” she said with a small smile on her lips, leaning her head back against the armrest of the couch, stretching her small body across the rest of it, but leaving enough room for the other. “’Course. You said you wanted pictures so I took as many as I could.”
"That’s not gonna happen,” Aaron muttered distractedly, taking one of the shoeboxes to flip through the pictures. The occasional one made the corner of his mouth quirk up in a brief smirk but otherwise, his expression stayed neutral. “What was the best part?” He asked, more to keep Madisyn talking to avoid risking her feeling like she had to be quiet while he looked at her pictures.
madisynoakland:
“See, normally I would be terrified with you saying that to me, but I came here with alcohol, so I feel as though I’m on the safe side for the night,” she said with a small smirk on her lips before taking the bottle into her possession once again and taking a small swing, wrinkling her nose at the burning sensation moving through her throat. “It was good, almost didn’t come back, but I felt as though if I disappeared for a few months, Sarah would have missing people reports on my ass. Thinking Cambodia next, or maybe Ireland.”
Aaron gave an acknowledging hum, unaware of who in particular Sarah was and deciding against asking since it was a fair assumption that she was a friend. “You’ll have been everywhere before too long,” he pointed out, gesturing at the several pictures she had brought with her. “May I take a look?”
madisynoakland:
“It wasn’t a break and enter if you leave the door wide open,” the woman muttered with a small smirk on her face before pushing the bottle of alcohol toward the Abrams, along with the two shoeboxes full of photos and a bag containing a few things she managed to pick out for the male during her travels. “Has no one told you how dangerous it can be to leave your door open in this state? C’mon, thought you were starter than that.” ( @aaron-abrams )
Though he wasn’t genuinely irritated by Madisyn’s presence, Aaron didn’t make as much clear. His irritation came more so from being caught off guard. “I think I can handle anything or anyone that comes in here. Including you,” he pointed out, taking a drink before he pushed the bottle back over to her. “How was the trip?”
